episode The X‑Men Are Gay Astrology (And I’m Proving It) cover

The X‑Men Are Gay Astrology (And I’m Proving It)

This week on Heavenly Bodies, I’m doing something I’ve been spiritually training for my entire mutant life: X‑Men astrology. Because let’s be honest—the X‑Men are not just superheroes. They are queer scripture. They are outsider mythology. They are psychic trauma in leather. They are chosen family in spandex. And today, I’m assigning them zodiac signs like the cosmic headmaster I was born to be. We’re decoding the X‑Women (and a few chaotic men) as astrological archetypes, because astrology isn’t just personality traits. It’s power. It’s shadow. It’s destiny. It’s drama. Have thoughts? Disagreements? A sign you want me to assign next? Email me at ask@heavenlybodiespodcast.com. I want your charts. I want your hot takes. I want your psychic projections. Because astrology is a living language, and so are queer myths. episode Black Moon Lilith in Sagittarius: The Dark Feminine Refuses to Look Back cover

Black Moon Lilith in Sagittarius: The Dark Feminine Refuses to Look Back

In this episode of Heavenly Bodies, I’m diving into one of my favorite archetypes in astrology: Lilith — the original dark feminine, the exile, the truth‑teller who refused to bow. I start with the myth. Lilith as Adam’s first wife. The woman who refused hierarchy. The one who walked out of Eden rather than submit. Exiled, demonized, blamed for everything taboo — from sexuality to miscarriages — she became the ultimate symbol of the punished, silenced, inconvenient truth. But Lilith isn’t just empowerment. She’s not cute. She’s not polished. She’s the complicated, messy reclamation of the shadow inside all of us. I talk about how Black Moon Lilith works in astrology, how she changes expression through the zodiac signs and birth chart houses, and what it really means to “integrate” Lilith instead of projecting her. We reflect on Lilith in Scorpio — themes of violation, power, obsession, sexuality, and my own Lilith return reckoning with people‑pleasing and desire. And then we move forward. On December 21, 2025, Lilith enters Sagittarius, where she’ll stay until September 15, 2026. This is fire. This is motion. This is freedom. This is refusing to look back. Sagittarius Lilith asks: * What are you afraid to do? * Who would it upset if you did it anyway? * Where in your birth chart does Sagittarius live? * What truth are you ready to speak out loud? This transit is about adventure, risk, and forward momentum. Less brooding. More burning. If you’ve been feeling the urge to leave, launch, say the thing, book the trip, publish the work, or stop apologizing — this episode is for you. Let’s talk shadow power. Let’s talk exile. Let’s talk about what happens when you stop looking back. episode Jupiter in Leo: The Wheel of Fortune cover

Jupiter in Leo: The Wheel of Fortune

On June 30, 2026, the bright and bold planet Jupiter enters Leo, the sign of leadership, talent and audacity. Jupiter commands a year of synthesis and expansion in Leo, inspiring you to take the lead in your life (and really, considering who is running the show at present, we could really use you).  Naturally, I get into how Jupiter affects you, and where to look for Leo in your chart. For those born with the sun in Leo, it’s going to be a lit year, but no matter your sun sign, there’s a clear call for each of us to step into our chosen spotlight. The masses are marching themselves into madness; now’s the time for the few to break apart and set sh*t off. To illustrate the themes of this turning point, I call on previous Jupiter in Leo eras and the cinematic debuts which defined them: think Sigourney Weaver as Ripley in Alien, Thelma and fucking Louise, Linda Hamilton doing one-armed pull-ups in Terminator 2, and Charlize Theron serving Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road. Notice a theme? The fire is coming. It’s time for the warrior woman to take charge. This time, you’re at the wheel.  Write to me at Ask@Heavenlybodiespodcast.com [Ask@Heavenlybodiespodcast.com]  To book a reading with, go to DavidOdyssey.com [http://davidodyssey.com] and Davidodyssey.substack.com [http://davidodyssey.substack.com]

episode So… What Is Kabbalah, Actually? cover

So… What Is Kabbalah, Actually?

What exactly is Kabbalah, that mysterious mysticism practiced by Jews and celebrities the world over, and what’s in it for you? If you’re curious, but can’t handle wellness sites selling courses, or don’t have patience for reading multiple volumes of arcane Hebrew texts, you’ve come to the right place. This is a primer on the ancient art, without any insanity about colonics or manifestation.  Kabbalah is a form of study and mystic thought developed by sages around BCE 1000–1300, cemented into the labyrinthine book known as the Zohar. It’s an interpretation of the Old Testament and a collection of stories, dialogues and dreams, which cast Jewish tradition in an erotic, ecstatic new understanding. For me, studying Kabbalah has made the world come online, into an animystic, mesmerizing unified consciousness. I share some of what I’ve learned about this way of seeing the world, and give some guidance on where you can begin, and what you should look out for. And, as it’s May 20th, we simply must celebrate the birthday of the supreme Taurus herself, the one and only Cher. Prepare yourself to have your mind blown.  Write to me at Ask@Heavenlybodiespodcast.com [Ask@Heavenlybodiespodcast.com]  To book a reading with, go to DavidOdyssey.com [http://davidodyssey.com] and Davidodyssey.substack.com [http://davidodyssey.substack.com]

episode Gemini Season 2026: Don’t Kill the Messenger cover

Gemini Season 2026: Don’t Kill the Messenger

Gemini Season launches on May 20, bringing the spring to an official close and launching us into an explosive summer. But what is this most-misunderstood sign really about, and how should you best ride its currents? I open the episode with a pull of the Two of Swords, explaining its themes of ambivalence and meditation. That’s what Gemini is: a tuning fork, a channel, a vessel in between extremes. Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the messenger of the Gods, and those born under a Gemini sun are often blamed for just saying what’s on everyone’s mind. Apparently, it’s a matter of selecting your frequency, lest you tap into darker channels (think Geminis like the current president, Kanye West and Azealia Banks) or portals of light (Andre 3000, Stevie Nicks and Robyn).  Now that we know what Gemini is (kind of), I talk about this month’s big events, including a new moon in Gemini, full moon in Sagittarius, Venus in Cancer and Mars in Taurus and beyond. I lay out your personal homework during this geopolitical maelstrom: employing the planets in Taurus, Gemini and Cancer to focus you on your dignity, gifts and potential, as means of facing the apocalyptic war machine. And, of course, I talk about Thelma & Louise and my experience taking acid at an Alanis Morrissette concert, because nobody asked for it!
