She raises chickens, goats, and sovereign children in Central Texas with her husband Paolo. Catherine's seventeen years as an active and involved member of the liberty community has provided her with profound insight into the nature of coercive control. It manifests in a societal level, a communal level, relational level, and even within our own psyche. Finding freedom in our lifetime will require each of us to identify and eradicate the ways in which we participate in, and perpetuate, coercion. Many of us are familiar and even expect to hear of abuse in religious organizations from the leadership to the members but my guest today offers a unique perspective - abuse of the leadership when those leaders fail to bend to the will of the corrupt. His dedication to this mission has taken shape in various forms, from fostering Christian ministries and participating in missions to India to providing pastoral counseling and contributing to higher education. Marcus has faithfully served in the gospel ministry for an impressive span of 28 years. Over the course of his ministry journey, he has held influential positions on ministry boards and served as an associate pastor at Upper Room Church Ministries from 1999 to 2003. His leadership continued as he took on the role of senior pastor at URCM from 2003 to 2011 and later served as the executive director. During this time, he also played a pivotal role in establishing new ministries, spearheading missions to India, and co-hosting a Christian television program for 12 years, all while diligently fulfilling his pastoral duties. In 1994, Marcus received a clear calling into full-time ministry, marked by a divine message from the Lord: "Create the atmosphere for My Spirit, and I will perform miracles." profound mandate has been the driving force behind his service.
