In this episode of Ordinary Chaos, Extraordinary Grace, Brittney and Katie discuss their current chaos, including new jobs and vandalized classrooms, and how sitting in the presence of God through the study of His Word is enough to fill us up and keep us going when all else fails.

Episode 4: Welcoming 2022 and Its Chaos

Happy 2022! We hope you love episode 4! In the first episode of 2022, Brittney and Katie discuss the chaos of the year so far, including visits from COVID in their households, and how even in chaos, being resolved to complete one small act of obedience after another will result in God's grace abounding. Katie and Brittney talk about the hectic holiday season and how important it is to remember that while holidays can be busy and joyful it can also be a time of grief and heartache for many, but the good news of Christmas shows us that God is near in every circumstance.

Welcome to Ordinary Chaos, Extraordinary Grace where friends Katie and Brittney take a look at how God's extraordinary grace breaks through the ordinary chaos of their lives, culture, and world. We know that we recorded this months ago, but we also know that this may be the nature of our podcasting experience for the moment as we are full-time working moms with church roles, full households of young kids and pastor husbands, and lives imbued with the chaos of all that life entails. But that is exactly why we wanted to start this podcast. It is easy to get caught up in the craziness of day to day life and forget to pause and look for the spaces and places where God interjects His extraordinary grace into the ordinary chaos of life. This podcast will give us a definitive reason to do just that and will hopefully help others like us to do the same. In this pilot episode, Brittney and Katie introduce themselves and explore the value of Christian friendships by talking a bit about how their own came to be.
