Laura del Fuego, a California Arts Council Fellowship recipient for Literature and past featured poet in the Haight Ashbury Literary Journal, has won several awards for fiction, and is the author of Carmen Garcia Was Here C/S (which describes growing up Chicana) and Maravilla, (a story of coming of age in East L.A.). Del Fuego's poetry, essays and stories have been widely published in journals and anthologies. She is also a screenwriter and an editor for Sonoma County Women's Voices;

Joe Gold Chairman for San Francisco Writer's Union. Joe Gold is a science fiction author in San Francisco, a Pulitzer-nominated journalist, advertising executive and marketing teacher. He was also a manager of the real Lamp Post Motel in Tucson, Arizona, that his father built in 1970. The Lamp Post Motel is a novel of time travelers studying sexual anthropology at a present-day motel, finding an owner who watches his customers on hidden cameras, and drops his mind into the people he's watching.
Jess Wells of the San Francisco Writer's Union reads on this author video podcast. Biography: Jess Wells is the author of 13 volumes, including the new historical novel, The Mandrake Broom (Firebrand, 2007). Wells was recently awarded a San Francisco Arts Commission Grant for Literature and she is a three-time finalist for the Lambda Literary Award. Her short stories and essays are included in more than two dozen literary anthologies and journals, included in university curricula and published internationally.
