Brad Hill is a Nashville based country producer who has worked artists including Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, and Brett Young. Not only did he come on this episode to talk about his process in producing the Maren Morris & Vince Gill duet "Dear Hate", but he also brought the multitracks from the actual recording session. It was really cool to hear about how he recorded this acoustic driven, soulful collaboration between two amazing singers while hearing the actual isolated parts from the recording at the same time!

Ron Gilmore is a Los Angeles based hip hop producer and artist who has worked with some of the biggest names in the genre as well as releasing his own critically acclaimed solo projects. We actually recorded this episode in Ron's car, and he shared a lot of really awesome stories about working in the studio and on the road with J Cole. Ron is not only a killer producer, artist, and writer, but he also is a phenomenal jazz pianist. He shares a lot of awesome knowledge on this episode for aspiring producers.

This episode was a guilty pleasure for me, as I have been a longtime fan of G Love & Special Sauce. G Love took a break from his tour to talk with me about how the recording of the band's hit "Baby's Got Sauce" went down in the studio. He shared his philosophies about tracking vocals live in the studio, the guitars he loves, and it was really cool to hear about the process of how the band wrote and recorded some of their most successful songs.

When Justin Cortelyou tells the story about recording "Come and Get It" on Paul McCartney, it sounds like something out of a dream. Not only is Sir Paul singing, but Alice Cooper sang backgrounds, Joe Perry of Aerosmith played lead, and Johnny Depp played rhythm! They also recorded it at Johnny Depp's home studio. Justin is one of the fastest rising young engineers in Nashville, and it was really fun spending a day in the studio with him hearing about this insane session!

David Leonard is a Nashville based engineer and producer who has worked with an incredible list of artists including Prince, John Mellencamp, Avril Lavigne, and MANY more. He spent an afternoon with me here at Bold Studio Nashville to talk about the process of recording the song "Let's Go Crazy" with Prince! He even assembled a studio on location just to record that song! His philosophy is all about using his skills to help artists realize their visions, and he has built an amazing career doing it.
