episode S2E38: Reflection and Remembrance - with Andrea Miller cover

S2E38: Reflection and Remembrance - with Andrea Miller

In this shorter episode, I speak from the heart reflecting on the reason behind this holiday weekend and grief either of those who fought for our freedoms or on the vision we had for our life paths. We can all remember moments in our lives where we maybe needed to turn left instead of right or where we found ourselves in the valley. However, how we react and the perspective we've gained after facing adversity or a pivot can truly make an impact on our futures. This weekend, after listening to a powerful church service, focusing on past memories, and thinking about Memorial Day, I had many things to share. Thank you for being here to help us all show each other the way and thank you for taking time to tune in to this week's episode.

episode S2E37: Ordinary Guy with an Extraordinary Story - Sharing Hope and Encouragement with Tyler Moon cover

S2E37: Ordinary Guy with an Extraordinary Story - Sharing Hope and Encouragement with Tyler Moon

Today’s episode of Show Me the Way is exactly why I started this podcast. I met today’s guest, Tyler Moon, through a connection site, and after just one conversation, I knew this interview would be something special. Tyler is incredibly well-spoken, grounded, and genuine—he made the entire conversation feel natural, easy, and meaningful. In 2019, while in his mid-20s, healthy, and physically active, Tyler collapsed during a 10-mile race due to sudden cardiac arrest. To this day, there are still unanswered questions about why it happened. What followed, though, is a powerful story of resilience, faith, and perspective. Already a man of strong faith, Tyler found himself leaning even deeper into his relationship with God after that life-altering moment. While the experience was incredibly difficult, he chose to focus on gratitude—grateful to have survived, grateful for a second chance, and grateful for the life he continues to live today. Now a husband and father, Tyler balances a career he enjoys with a growing passion for speaking and storytelling. Through his work on stage and in his writing, he shares a message that has inspired and encouraged so many. His positivity is contagious. His faith is evident. And his perspective is something we can all learn from. This conversation is filled with hope, encouragement, and a reminder of what truly matters. I can’t wait for you to hear it and take away something meaningful—just like I did. S2E36: Path to Motherhood - Sharing Mom Perspective with Chris Fusco, Carolyn Miller, Niki Vericker and Toni Thorne

Happy Mother’s Day from the show me the way podcast!!! Today’s a very special episode as last minute I decided to honor some of my favorite moms, including my mom, my mother-in-law and my sisters. It was so fun to have all four of these beautiful women on the show. On this podcast we talk about handling adversity in life, and what happens when you have to pivot and the perspective after, but I don’t know if anything changes you more than being a mom. I wanted to create a fun conversation where we all shared our experiences and it was really great to not only listen to these women talk about motherhood, but also to hear them talk about their kids and how blessed they are to be moms, grandmas and even soon to be an official nana! I love my mom, my mother in law and my sisters so much! What a great way to interview them and have them on the show! Enjoy!

episode S2E34: Everything is Figureoutable - with Nathan Miller cover

S2E34: Everything is Figureoutable - with Nathan Miller

Today’s episode is the perfect example of what Show Me the Way is all about—pivoting when life doesn’t go according to plan. I originally had a guest scheduled, but due to some last-minute changes, I found myself without someone lined up for this week. Since I had already done a solo episode last week, I convinced my son, Nathan, to join me for his second appearance on the podcast. He wasn’t fully prepared, but I asked him to share about some recent moments of adversity and difficult times he’s experienced. Nathan opened up in such an honest and thoughtful way, sharing his perspective on how he works through hard moments and reminding us that sometimes things happen for a reason—and that we will get through them. Nathan teaches me every day that there is always a way forward. Sometimes things don’t happen the traditional way, but that doesn’t mean they can’t happen in a different way—or, as I like to say, in “Nathan’s way.” That’s exactly what I hope to continue highlighting through Show Me the Way—the moments when life requires us to pivot, take an unexpected turn, and learn something valuable along the way. I’m so grateful to Nathan for stepping in, sharing his heart, and showing such openness, honesty, and love. This conversation offers a perspective we can all learn from. And we have our 11th Annual Nathan's Ninja's family fun run coming up - Sunday July 19. episode S2E35: Protecting Your Peace after Unimaginable Loss - with Haley Kilman cover

S2E35: Protecting Your Peace after Unimaginable Loss - with Haley Kilman

In today’s episode, I’m joined by Haley Kilman, a connection I’m incredibly grateful for through a referral from my former boss and friend, Eric Swanson. Haley is a poised, thoughtful, and resilient young woman who brought so much honesty and depth to our conversation. Haley shares her journey through personal adversity, including past struggles with depression, but nothing could have prepared her for the devastating loss she experienced just last December. Her live-in boyfriend—soon to be her fiancé—was tragically killed in a cycling accident near their home after being hit by a drunk driver. As you can imagine, the grief is still very fresh, and Haley is continuing to navigate the emotional and practical realities of losing not just a partner, but the life they were building together. Despite the unimaginable weight of her loss, Haley courageously opens up in hopes of helping others feel less alone. She offers insight into the often-overlooked realities that come with losing a significant other—things many of us never think about until faced with them. We also talk about the importance of community. Haley reflects on the incredible support system surrounding her and emphasizes how vital it is to nurture friendships long before you need them. She closes the episode with heartfelt advice on how to show up for someone going through grief—what helps, what doesn’t, and how simply being present can make all the difference. This conversation is raw, meaningful, and deeply human. A powerful reminder that even in our darkest moments, connection and support can help guide us forward—one day at a time.
