For this weeks very special episode Barbara had the pleasure to sit down with her incredible mother Mrs Joyce Sodeinde on her Birthday week while she shares her inspiring wisdom of the trials and triumphs of raising a child with Sickle Cell and how Knowledge is Power ✨ From studying the ins and outs of the condition and writing her university dissertation on SCD to finding holistic alternatives to help Barbara manage her sickle cell, being huge advocate supporter within the community and Business woman who inspired her daughter to follow in her fashion entrepreneurial footsteps and never allowing Barbara to feel shame or stigma for having SCD or a disability and making it her mission to educate every teacher, employer etc she encountered. Joyce Sodeinde story is a must listen and there are many tips that will help so many young mothers raising children with chronic illness and other disabilities.
