The Crazy Love of God

On the Feast of the Most Holy Redeemer, Father Siktus reflects on the heart of the Redemptorist mission: “With Him, there is plentiful redemption.” Explaining the meaning of CSsR and the congregation’s motto, he reminds us that God’s redeeming love is abundant, freely offered to every person, regardless of their past or unworthiness. Drawing from St Paul’s teaching, Father Siktus contrasts Adam and Christ: through Adam came sin and death, but through Jesus come grace, life, and the hope of salvation. In the Gospel, Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus reveals the Father’s greatest gift: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.” Through the Cross, Christ opens the way to eternal life for all who believe in Him. Quoting St Alphonsus Liguori, Father Siktus describes God’s love as “crazy with love”- a love that never gives up, always forgives, and continually welcomes us home. As recipients of this abundant redemption, we are invited to become instruments of that same compassionate, forgiving, and life-giving love to everyone we encounter. - Sunday Homily by Fr. Sikstus Bapa Atawolo, C.Ss.R. (19 July 2026)

The Parable of the Sower - Which path and soil do I choose today?

In this homily, Fr. Eugene shares a story about the evil one’s most effective tool: the seed of discouragement. While it takes root quickly in most places, it cannot grow in a grateful heart. This ties directly into the Parable of the Sower, illustrating how different hearts respond to God's word: * The Path: Hardened by pride, disappointment, and repeated sin; God’s message cannot enter. * Rocky Ground: Shallow hearts where faith sprouts quickly but lacks depth, easily giving in to suffering. * Thorns: Crowded hearts distracted by worries, riches, and worldly desires, hiding discouragement. * Good Soil: A heart surrendered to God’s will. Gratitude guards this soil, producing lasting virtues, peace, and joy. Ultimately, we choose our soil. Where gratitude guards the heart, discouragement loses, and God’s word bears lasting fruit. - Sunday Homily by Fr. Eugene Lee, C.Ss.R. (12 July 2026)

God always welcome us, do we welcome Him?

Fr Simon’s draws from Matthew 10:37– on the spirit of welcome. While we often come to Church expecting God to welcome us, Fr Simon invites us to ask whether we are truly welcoming God in return. The Gospel challenges us to examine our attitude: Do we come to Mass only expecting a fast sermon, going through the motions or do we come ready to receive Christ fully? If God welcomes us with love, our response should be to embrace Him and also welcome one another in our daily interactions. Fr Simon challenges us to integrate this spirit of welcome into our spiritual life: to welcome Christ, participate fully in the Mass, and remain open to a fresh encounter with God in every Eucharist. - Sunday Homily by Fr. Simon Tan, C.Ss.R. (28 June 2026)

Do not be Afraid, we are never alone

In his homily, Father Terence reflected on how fear can quietly shape the way we live. Using the image of a dog conditioned to remain within an invisible boundary, he showed how fear can keep us trapped even when the barriers are no longer there. He identified two sources of challenge in our lives. The first comes from outside: misunderstanding, criticism, and opposition for doing what is right, as experienced by the prophet Jeremiah. The second rises from within: our struggle with sin, which distances us from God and leaves us trapped in guilt and shame. When fear takes hold, we shrink - growing silent when truth needs to be spoken and passive when courage is required. Yet in the Gospel, Jesus repeatedly tells us, “Do not be afraid.” We are never alone. Armed with God's truth and His love, we are called to step beyond our fears and live with genuine freedom and conviction. Sunday Homily by Fr. Terence Wee, C.Ss.R. (21 June 2026)

En fantastisk app med et enormt stort udvalg af spændende podcasts. Podimo formår virkelig at lave godt indhold, der takler de lidt mere svære emner. At der så også er lydbøger oveni til en billig pris, gør at det er blevet min favorit app.
