Episode 26 - Feel the Field ( See you Vision First)
Have you ever woken up feeling like you cannot face the world? Trying hard to achieve a specific goal and feeling that you are stuck. As you roll over and sleep for another 30 minutes. Then a quiet voice tells you, get up have your shower, and let’s get stuff done.
You go through your normal routine, showering, dental hygiene, breakfast, and come to your computer and get distracted by watching YouTube videos and finding other things to do except the things that you know you need to do. Simply putting things off and finding lots of distractions to keep you busy.
I remember watching this video called The Legend of Baggavance. This was set in the depression years and the local town wanted to inject some income into the economy. They decided to hold a golf tournament, where they would invite 5 top-class golfers to compete in this 5-day event. The invitations went out and they also wanted a local golfer to represent their town as well.
A young boy calls out ask Jordan, I watched him play and he is great. Everyone stopped and there was a quietness in the room. You see Jordan was indeed the local champion, however since he returned from serving the war, he simply was not the same person.
He had taken to drink, drugs, and gambling and that was how he lived today. At night he would have flashbacks often waking up in a cold sweat. He had completely isolated himself from the town, and the only time he spent with people was when he was gambling.
The townspeople know of his skills and decided to seek him out and see if he would compete. He was their only chance of keeping the title within their town, and after all, Jordan was a highly regarded golfer before he went to war.
The quest was on, the boy raced over to tell Jordan of the plan. There was some resistance that Jordan had to overcome, and finally, he agreed.
As he held the golf club, his hands were shaking, and when he went into the bushes, he would get flashbacks from the war. Dropping down onto his knees emotionally torn. Then Baggavance turns up, the caddy. Or was he the wish mentor.
Baggavance volunteers to be his caddy during the match, and along the way, he would praise and encourage Jordan including some great helpful tips to improve his game and to keep his focus on preparing for the game.
The tournament starts and during the 5 days, Joran would go through all emotions of frustration, excitement, and despair. On the 5th day, he was feeling really frustrated and was simply slamming the ball as hard as he could, chopping up the lawn, allowing his emotions to take over. The ball was driven into the trees, into the lack everywhere direction except into the hole that he was aiming for.
Baggavance stops him and says quietly “feel the field”, Jordan still angry tells me What Field What are you talking about, then he stops and listens.
He learns into Jordan and says watch Mike. Now Mike was one of the champions who always had a calmness about him, and his game was very consistent. As Mike stepped up Baggavance says to Jordan watch what he does. He softens his eyes, his posture changes, and he has laser focus. The screen shows the hole in the distance zoom in, and he is in the zone of success. He takes the shot and it is right on par. Then he relaxes and he remains calm whilst the audience applauses his shot.
Baggavance says you need to ‘see the field’, have laser focus, and bring the hole to you. See yourself achieving before you even take the shot.
Do you take time to see the field? Bring your goals to you. Focus, relax, and make it happen.
Stay tuned into my next live and I will be talking about how you can get associated with the goals that will motivate you and fast track your success.
