Meet Andee! Licensed Clinical Social Worker aka therapist! We are pivoting completely today and instead of hearing a personal story, we are diving into the topic of therapy and specifically the area of GRIEF.  A little about Andee: As a clinician, I love helping people become resilient and find ways to use their pain as fuel and energy to create the life they want for themselves and their families. I love to help people succeed. Everybody has the capacity to live a rich and meaningful life and with the tools used in therapy this becomes a reality. I work with individuals, couples, families and facilitate groups. My approach to therapy is a strengths-based, client-centered, eclectic approach of evidence-based therapy treatments including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and solution-focused therapy. If desired, I enjoy and can work in a Christian approach.  I am a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist trained from the Grief Recovery Institute. This method helps grievers deal with the pain of any kind of loss including death, divorce, pet loss, change of job, loss of trust, lost of safety, loss of control of one’s body and more. This includes working with parents whose children have experienced loss.  Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy skiing, camping, boating, biking, reading, eating Crumble cookies, drinking Diet Dr. Pepper all while relaxing in a comfy chair with a good book. Welcome to the PIVOT PODCAST!!!

I can't believe it's finally here! This podcast has been such a dream of mine for SO long, but I've constantly let fear get in the way. With so much support from all of the closest people in my corner, I decided to put a little bit of faith over fear and go for it.  Life has brought me a variety of pivots, but especially the past 5 years of my life. And one of the biggest things I have learned is that everyone at some point or another, will experience something in life that forces them to pivot. But with those pivots, usually comes a lot of growth.  Here you will find a variety of individuals stories sharing their experiences of when life has forced them to pivot. We will also completely pivot content wise, on occasion, and not necessarily talk about guests pivots, but specific topics or areas.  Thank you for being here. I hope you enjoy!
