I just got back from hiking 100+ miles through the Alps on the Tour du Mont Blanc and this episode is arrival day, day 1 in Chamonix, and the first real hiking day, which honestly deserves its own warning label. We start easy: landing in Geneva, getting mistaken for the French president's daughter, Mont Blanc views off the balcony, steak frites and bad EDM in a park. Then day 2 hits going the wrong direction out of the gate, a physical reality check I was not ready for, the ladders that almost took me out mentally, a race against a 7pm dinner cutoff with legs that had nothing left, and a bunk bed hut full of new friends and way too many beans. This is the episode where the trip stopped being cute and started being real.
