UN Day with UNA Northeastern

This month, we’re shifting our focus from the usual episodes and highlighting an event that our chapter hosted this semester. This is our fourth year celebrating UN Day, and we had diverse group of people come speak to us about SDGs 3 and 16.This episode looks back and shares our favorite parts of the event, including the youth panel. For those of you who weren’t able to attend the event, here’s a good way to get the best parts of it.

SDG 13: Youth Involvement in Climate Action

Another episode, another SDG. In this episode, we’re focusing on SDG 13, climate action, and I spoke to our campus president Adele Andrews. We had a conversation on what climate action looks like now under a new administration as well as the role of youth in leading this conversation. This is our third year celebrating UN Day, especially with the UN's 75th anniversary and despite the challenges with the pandemic and only being able to meet online, we were able to put together a great panel and event. This episode looks back and shares our favorite parts of the event, including the youth panel. SDG 14: A Conversation on Marine Sustainability with John Mandelman

We're back with a new episode of the UNiversal Blueprint! This month, we talked to Dr. John Mandelman at the Anderson Cabot Center focusing on SDG 14: Life Below Water, the conservation and sustainable use of oceans, sea and marine resources for sustainable development. This episode was pre-recorded in March but was pushed back and we're so excited to have it launch.

SDG 10: Racial Inequality with UNA Howard University

After a long summer break, we're back with a discussion-based episode on SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. We spoke with two members of UNA Howard University, Oona Nelson and Maggi Chambers on racial inequality in the U.S., the Black Lives Matter movement and ways in which we can create and aid more sustainable change.
