In the Trenches Together: God’s Faithfulness in Hard Seasons
Welcome To the Table. This summer, we are entering into a special series where we’re getting incredibly honest about the hard seasons of life. We’re sitting down with friends who have walked through the deepest valleys and seen the undeniable faithfulness of God—not just through his presence, but through the hands and feet of the community that refused to let them walk alone. I am more than delighted to welcome my mom, Diane Holloway, to the podcast to kick off this new season with me. My prayer is that wherever you find yourself today, you’ll leave here feeling encouraged to keep going, keep showing up, and keep seeing the Lord’s faithfulness as you walk through whatever season you’re in today. ☕
Show Notes 🗒️
Matthew 14:22-33 - ...And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
Luke 10:38-42 - Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”
Philippians 4:7-8 - And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Joshua 1:9 - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
