SPECIAL: VVC FAME Festival Pt2 [Film, Fine Arts & Animation Panel]

The following is a special presentation of RAMS Report.  VVC held an industry panel of experts in the realm of Fine Arts, Animation, and Music in May 2026. Hundreds of high school and college students, as well as local community members, attended.  PART 2 features the following industry experts:  Theresa Shellcroft 🎨🌟 This woman is a pillar of arts education 🏛️, community engagement 🤝, and creative legacy ✨—and her impact spans generations. Theresa has helped shape generations of students while playing a role in defining arts education across California 🌟 Clay Lacey 🔥🎬 On social media, Clay has amassed 90+ MILLION views, bringing his brand of filmmaking to a massive global audience and proving that storytelling thrives wherever creativity meets opportunity 🌍🔥. (Granite Hills High School alum) Known for writing ✍️, directing 🎬, shooting 📷, and editing 🎞️ his own work, he embodies the true DIY spirit of modern filmmaking. Sam Prince 🎬🎮 Apple Valley High School alum 🎓 and a graduate of Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.  He currently serves as Lead Editor at Naughty Dog 🐶, one of the most respected studios in the world. There, Sam has played a key role in shaping the cinematic experience of some of the most celebrated narrative‑driven games ever made, including The Last of Us Part I & II 🎮🔥. Thomas Surprenant✨🎬 An Emmy Award–winning makeup artist 🏆 whose work has helped define some of the most iconic worlds in science fiction, fantasy, and film 🚀🧙‍♂️🎥. We Do it For The FAME And The Students

Victor Valley College is turning campus into a creative hub this Friday with the launch of the FAME Festival—a full-day celebration of fine arts, animation, music, film, and digital media. Hosted by VVC’s School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, the festival brings together internationally recognized professionals from across the creative industries for panels, workshops, live performances, and hands-on experiences designed to showcase real-world career pathways in the arts. ASB Fine Arts Senator Harmony Thompson, the student coordinator for the festival, shares why this event is a game-changer for students with a passion for creative expression. The lineup also features Grammy-winning, multi‑platinum producer Damon Sharpe, along with Euro Zambrano—drummer for legends Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan. Plus, we’re also previewing another major campus event: the High Desert Job Fair, taking place May 13 at VVC, featuring nearly 100 employers and special guest 99.1 KGGI’s Evelyn Erives.

Students are back from Spring Break—and VVC is gearing up for a HUGE weekend! 🚗💨 This Saturday, April 25, it’s the Thrive to Drive Ram Rush at RAMS Stadium, where one lucky student will drive away in a brand‑new Ram Truck, sponsored by Victorville Motors! 🎶 Spring Concerts Take Over VVC Victor Valley College’s Music Department is kicking off a full slate of FREE spring concerts, starting Thursday, April 9! • Thursday: Guitar Ensemble, Jazz Rock Combo & Studio Jazz Band • Friday: Tubas, Symphonic & Flutes — featuring special guests Sultana High School • Saturday: Orchestra — with musical guests Oak Hills High School • Sunday: Vocals featuring VVC’s Choir Department 🎼 All concerts are free to attend — donations welcome! 🎓 Student Spotlight: Amada Muniz VVC student Amada Muniz, a Business & Communications major, joins the podcast to talk about turning passion into a profession. Amada shares how storytelling plays a key role in her major and her future goals in entertainment and tourism.
