Her memories? The point: it was not the city she looked back at. It was everything she had built her identity around. She could not let go — even with her future walking right beside her. Have you ever watched a hoarder house episode? You walk in and think — how did it get this bad? But look closer. Every item in that house is a memory. A feeling. A relationship. A time in their life they couldn't release. The house didn't get that way overnight." Now pivot: "Our minds can be hoarder houses. Every betrayal we kept. Every wound we never worked through. She is healed. She is clear-minded. She is forward-facing. You cannot be her and be frozen in what he did, what they said, what that season took from you. THE WORD FOR THE MEN: Cycles and Mental Health "This is not just a women's message. Black Men, hear this."For a man to walk into a godly marriage, a real covenant, a life with God at the center — the past has to stay in the past. Not just her past. His past too. * Old mindsets about what a woman owes him * Unhealed wounds from his mother, his childhood, his last relationship * Patterns of control, avoidance, or emotional absence. You cannot lead a woman into her EZER if you are still spiritually and emotionally living on a street that God already told you to leave "We have to talk about mental health in our community without stigma. Unhealed trauma does not stay quiet. It shows up as rage, withdrawal, patterns of choosing the same unhealthy people, or tolerating what we know is wrong because at least it feels familiar." Lot's wife chose the familiar destruction over the unfamiliar freedom. That is what unhealed trauma does. It makes the burning city feel safer than the open road. Prayer and Clarity for ALL OF US: Where Are Your Diamonds?

Why are we still holding on to things that are quietly destroying us? We live in a time where there’s already enough weight—stress, illness, financial pressure, uncertainty. Yet many of us are still carrying unforgiveness, pain, and past experiences that continue to drain us. The question is… why? Is it fear of letting go? Is it the belief that if we release it, we lose control? Or is it deeper—struggling to trust that healing won’t leave us empty? Unforgiveness doesn’t just affect the heart—it affects the body, the mind, and the way we move through life. And at some point, we have to ask ourselves: is holding on protecting me, or is it harming me? And then there’s faith. Why is it sometimes difficult to believe that God will bring restoration after loss? That after hardship, something good can still come? We’ve seen challenges—especially within our communities. Economic hardship, job loss, shifting systems. It can shape how we see ourselves, how we see relationships, and what we believe we deserve. Some begin to question: Will things really get better? Can people truly grow and change? Is a healthy, stable, God-centered relationship still possible? But here’s the truth: what we’ve experienced can influence us, but it doesn’t have to define what’s possible. Releasing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means choosing not to let the past control your future. And believing again doesn’t mean ignoring reality. It means allowing space for something different to exist. So today, the real question is: What are you holding onto… that it’s time to release? Because healing, peace, and even love—require room to enter. And sometimes, that room is created the moment we finally let go.
