Real people share real stories of some of the most challenging times of their lives, and how they have made it through. We help people to be witnessed in their wholeness, to experience healing at a deeper level, and to allow their story to make an impact for others. Nobody is alone. We are all in this together. This is how true healing takes place; it's how we change the world -- one voice at a time, sharing words never spoken. episode Detachment in Manifesting cover

Detachment in Manifesting

Episode 8. Detachment in Manifesting In today’s episode of Words Never Spoken, Jill and Carmen discuss manifesting and the importance of detaching from the dream, to make sure we are enjoying the present moment. Spoiler alert: You can feel your dream come true right now! The conversation also includes a nugget about "adulting" and the false sense of urgency many people operate with today. Questions to ask yourself: Who chooses what you do each day? Will the world end if you don't do all the things on your checklist? We'd love to hear your thoughts on these topics - and others too. We're Back!! Embracing New Things

Episode 6. Embracing New Things After a personal pause, we’re back…. and resuming the vulnerable conversations. Just the two of us this time.  On today’s episode of Words Never Spoken, we are holding a safe space to discuss a topic that everyone on the planet deals with: doing new things. Let’s face it: Our brains just don’t like anything new. It can often bring up feelings of fear and overwhelm, even when we see the new thing as a positive.  Sometimes we need someone else to help us recognize all the goodness right in front of our faces, to help us have a more empowered perspective.  Our co-host, Jill, shares how she is facing some decisions as she considers taking on a ‘real” job (working set hours for someone else), something she hasn’t done in a couple of decades. Full-time or part-time? How do you prioritize yourself and the other people in your life? How do you make time for both work and play?  We’re thrilled to dive into this topic and welcome you to join us! episode Narcissism and Gaslighting: Getting Out cover

Narcissism and Gaslighting: Getting Out

Episode 5. Narcissism and Gaslighting: Getting Out On today’s episode of Words Never Spoken, we are discussing a trending topic in today’s world. And it’s good it’s being talked about, as much more awareness is being brought to it. We are talking about narcissism and the gaslighting that accompanies it.  Many of us have found ourselves in relationships with these patterns but were unaware of how unhealthy they were. We may have seen them in our families or in society and thought they were normal. Then, when we become more aware and decide we want to break the patterns, there are challenges to overcome. Our guest, Ashley, shares the story of when she was evicted from her home by her partner, forcing her to finally do what she had known for a long time: she had to get out. She suddenly had to answer a lot of questions very quickly. Consider this: What do you do when you believe you don’t know what to do? Who do you turn to? In this episode, we go deep into this. We cover how subtle these patterns can be sometimes, the things we tell ourselves that keep us in unhealthy situations, warning signs that may indicate we are dealing with a narcissist, and steps to getting out. If this rings true for you, know you are not the only one; we know what it feels like. We also want you to know that there is a way out and a much brighter future possible. You are worthy of feeling good in your relationships.  Resources: Learn more about Narcissistic Personality Disorder Women’s Law Partnership Against Domestic Violence  National Domestic Violence Hotline: 800-799-7233 If you’d like to get in touch with us, please email us at connect.wordsneverspoken@gmail.com. episode Infidelity: Moving on with Compassion cover

Infidelity: Moving on with Compassion

Episode 4. Infidelity: Moving on with Compassion On today’s episode, we take on the highly charged topic of infidelity. From the outside, there’s a tendency to harshly judge affairs; however, anyone who has been involved knows it’s often more complicated than it appears. Today we shed light on some of the nuances that can exist as our co-host, Jill Douglas, tells her story of infidelity. She shares the internal struggles she encountered and the shame she experienced, mostly from her own self-judgment. This episode isn’t about condoning affairs; it’s about having more compassion and better understanding. And it’s about offering hope for those who have been there: You can forgive (most importantly, yourself), and you can go on to enjoy great relationships. Ideas discussed: * Body betrayal and the pull of physical pleasure * Feeling safe enough to say No * Shutting down our natural sensuality and openness to make ourselves less attractive – so we don’t get put in the position to say No to unwanted advances * The impact of self-judgment and shame * Owning all parts of ourself and our healing (and not holding responsibility for another’s) * The need to forget and move on, after the healing * The impact of keeping secrets (and when it’s important to share them) Resources: Esther Perel [https://www.estherperel.com/focus-on-categories/infidelity] (relationship and sexuality expert’s focus on infidelity) If you’d like to get in touch with us, please email us at connect.wordsneverspoken@gmail.com.
