Acerca de Jewish Mother Me
"Jewish Mother Me" is a brutally honest but (nearly) always humorous look at the world of the Jewish mother. And why, despite her unashamed need to mother, or even smother, everyone she meets, she can also be a source of wisdom and cause for celebration. In each episode the three UK based hosts, all nurtured by Jewish mothers, and now Jewish mothers themselves, chew over subjects through the prism of their experiences. The aim of each podcast is to leave you feeling, at the very least, amused and at best inspired by the uniquely warm, sometimes bonkers, but always well intended
Series 5: Episode 1 - B Positive
B Positive - This was the blood type of Ori Goldberg - a wonderful, spirited four-year-old boy who lost his battle with pulmonary hypertension, and one that perfectly reflected his family’s outlook on life. We speak to his devoted mother, Jess, who opens up about her son’s courageous fight for life, the miracles that kept him alive against all odds, and the heartbreaking wait for a transplant. Though Ori has left them, his family remains determined - just like his blood type - to be positive.

We sit down for a warm chat with Josh Glancy, columnist and Associate Editor of The Sunday Times, about life in one of British journalism’s top jobs - and the innumerable Jewish mothers and grandmothers who have shaped his world. We lost count…

Though not Jewish herself, Daily Telegraph Associate Editor Camilla Tominey reflects on the profound influence of her Jewish stepmother, Bern. After losing her own mother at just 23, Camilla was mothered for far longer by the woman who became her father’s second wife. With warmth and candour, she shares the story of her extraordinary 'Jewish mum'.
