Sobre Launch Your Coaching Ministry | Faith-Based Business for Women, Launch Your Ministry, Faith and Business

Welcome to Launch Your Coaching Ministry — the podcast for Christian women over 40 who know corporate gave them a title, but God gave them a calling. Hey sis, I'm so glad you're here. For 20+ years, I climbed the corporate ladder, checked all the boxes, and made really good money. I was good at my job. But somewhere along the way, I realized climbing higher just made me more invisible — and more exhausted. So I walked away. And that decision changed everything. Now I help Christian women like you take everything you learned in corporate and turn it into your own thing. A business. A calling. Kingdom work that actually pays you. Here's what we talk about every week: We're tackling the real stuff — the faith-career guilt that's been eating at you, the lies telling you you're too old or not enough, the practical strategies for packaging your God-given gifts into offers people actually want to pay for. We're talking about finding clients, pricing with confidence, building systems that work, and yes — navigating the doubt and fear that comes with betting on yourself. This isn't another "lean in harder" podcast. And it's not spiritual bypassing either. We're bringing the real-life wisdom, the practical steps, and the faith-filled strategy you need to launch a coaching ministry that honors God and creates the financial flexibility you've been praying for. New episodes drop every Friday morning — so you've got something to fuel your week and remind you that you're not too old, you're not too late, and you're exactly where God needs you to be. Don't just listen — join the conversation: Subscribe so you never miss an episode Follow for behind-the-scenes updates and community wins Download episodes so you can listen in the car, at the gym, or whenever you need a reminder that you've got this Share this with a woman who needs permission to bet on herself Rate and leave a review — seriously, it helps other women find us and it means the world to me Also on YouTube: If you'd rather watch and get the full experience, we're on YouTube too. Search "Launch Your Coaching Ministry" (or go here) and hit subscribe there as well. This is where your calling meets your courage. Let's build something Kingdom-focused and wildly profitable together. Now stop waiting and let's go. Launch Your Coaching Ministry — because God didn't give you 20+ years of experience just so you could play small.

27| The Story That Makes People Want to Work With You

The first time I told my story publicly, I told the cute version. I had been fired from a temporary job by a boss who didn't even show up to do it himself. He sent someone else who yelled at me through the whole thing. I sat in the car after and realized something I couldn't unsee. The table was never built for me anyway. But when I posted about it the first time, I said I left. Because I was embarrassed. I didn't want to look bad. So I cleaned the story up. And that post got a few polite likes and did absolutely nothing for my business. Then I told the truth. The whole thing. The yelling. The temporary job. The boss who didn't show up. The realization in the car. And that post didn't just get likes. It got DMs from women saying "I went through something similar." It got women asking how to work with me. It got me actual paying clients. That's the difference one story can make. In this episode I'm walking you through why your story is the most powerful sales asset you'll ever build, why information is everywhere but resonance is what converts, and the four-question framework I use to turn your messy real life into a 300-word origin story that makes the right women feel like you wrote it directly to them. In this episode you will hear why younger coaches with fresh certifications can't compete with your lived experience, the research behind why people buy stories over credentials, the four questions that build your origin story (where you were stuck, what changed, where you are now, who you help now), the biblical case for sharing your testimony out loud using Paul and the woman with the issue of blood, three specific things you can do this week to write and share your story, and what to do when fear of judgment makes you want to keep editing your truth out of the version you share. This is Episode 2 of my Build Your Coaching Business, Step by Step series. Listen to Episode 1 first if you missed it so you have the full context of The Three C's Method. 26| How to Leave Corporate America and Start a Coaching Business Over 40

In a single quarter of 2025, over 300,000 Black women exited the labor force. Black women are now the fastest growing group of entrepreneurs in America. The corporate exodus isn't a trend, sis. It's a movement. And if you're sitting at your corporate desk right now wondering if it's too late to build something of your own, this episode is the answer to the question you've been afraid to ask out loud. But here's the part nobody's telling you. There's a specific order to leaving corporate and starting a coaching business that actually works. And most women try to do it in the wrong order, which is exactly why most women get stuck. I'm giving you the right order today. This is Episode 1 of my brand new series, Build Your Coaching Business, Step by Step. Over the next 13 episodes I'm walking you through The Three C's Method. Get Clear. Get Clients. Get Consistent. Three phases. One specific order. Skip any of them and the whole thing falls apart. Here's what I need you to know before you press play. When I first left corporate I had 20 plus years of experience, certifications, a story, a calling. And zero idea what to actually do first. So I did what most women do. I tried to do everything at once. I had 10 random links to 10 random offers on my website. I posted everywhere. I priced way too low. I tried to help everybody. I built a website nobody was looking at. And I almost quit. What finally turned it around was when I figured out the right order. The order I'm giving you in this episode. We're going deep on Phase 1, Get Clear, because nothing else works until you get this part right. I'm walking you through the Authority Inventory, the exact exercise I take every coaching client through. I'm showing you why your 20 plus years in corporate isn't background experience but actual curriculum. And I'm reframing your entire corporate season through scripture so you can finally see what God was building in you all those years. In this episode you will hear why most women try to start a coaching business from their job title and why that's the wrong starting point, the difference between credentials and transformation and why your ideal client is paying for one and not the other, the Authority Inventory exercise that gives your brain the evidence it needs to believe you're already a coach, what specialists earn versus generalists and the data behind why specificity is your advantage, the biblical case using Moses, Joseph, and Esther for why your corporate years weren't a delay but preparation, and three specific things you can do this week to start building. I also built a free companion workbook for this series called Get Clear. It has all four exercises from Phase 1 with fill in the blank pages so you're not staring at a blank document trying to figure out where to start. Grab it before you press play and follow along. 25| The Habit Corporate Taught You That Is Quietly Killing Your Coaching Business

You did everything right. You showed up early. You stayed late. You did the work. You kept your head down. You survived every room that told you to be less so everyone else could feel like more. And somewhere along the way you learned something that nobody taught you out loud. Make yourself smaller. Soften your voice. Smile when you are not happy. Stay quiet when you have the answer. Shrink. And here is what nobody told you when you finally walked out of that building. You took the shrinking with you. In this episode I am getting into something most coaches in this space will not say out loud. The same behavior that kept you safe in corporate is quietly showing up in your coaching business right now. In your vague messaging. You're avoiding a niche. Your underpriced offers. Your content that plays it safe when it should be speaking directly to the woman who needs you. And I know because I did it too. I left corporate and built my own business and I was still monitoring my tone. Still watching what I said. Still softening feedback that needed to land harder. Still following the rules of a system I had already left. This episode is for the high achieving woman who survived corporate, left the building, and is still shrinking inside the business she built herself. Here is what I need you to know before you press play. You did not choose to shrink. The system taught you to. It was a survival mechanism that worked. It kept you employed. It kept the retaliation at bay. It kept you in the room long enough to collect the expertise that is now the foundation of everything you are building. But you are not in that room anymore. And the rules of that room do not belong in your business. In this episode you will hear what shrinking actually is and the specific behaviors that signal it is happening, why you did not choose shrinking and why that matters for how you unlearn it, the McKinsey 2025 data that confirms what your body already knew about what corporate cost you, the Pet to Threat phenomenon and why Black women face a specific and documented version of this pattern, how shrinking followed you out of corporate and into your coaching business through vague messaging, niche avoidance, undercharging, and content that whispers instead of speaks, the faith case for using your full voice because staying silent is not humility, it is disobedience, and three specific actions you can take this week to start unlearning 20 plus years of making yourself small. Your voice is your assignment. God gave it to you on purpose for a purpose for the women who are waiting for someone who sounds exactly like you to finally say the thing out loud. This episode is going to name what has been happening. And once you name it you cannot unsee it. In this episode you will hear why shrinking was never your choice and why that distinction matters, the four specific forms shrinking takes and how to recognize each one in yourself, the data behind what constant self monitoring actually costs women professionally and personally, why Black women specifically experience the Pet to Threat phenomenon and what it does to your sense of safety at work, the exact moment I realized I had carried corporate shrinking into my own coaching business, how shrinking shows up differently in a coaching business than it does in a corporate job, the biblical case for claiming your full voice using Esther, Deborah, and the woman with the issue of blood, and your homework for this week. 24| What Neuroscience and the Bible Both Say About Becoming Who God Called You to Be

Over a year ago my mother lost the ability to walk. I had already left my corporate job to coach full time. There was no going back. No safety net. No plan B. Just me, my mom who needed me around the clock, and a coaching business that needed me to show up. And in the middle of the hardest season of my life I heard God ask me something that stopped me cold. Who do I say you are? Do you trust Me? That question sent me down a rabbit hole I was not expecting. Because what I discovered is that neuroscience and the Bible are saying the exact same thing about identity transformation. And once you understand what they are both saying together, you will never look at your hard season the same way again. Here is what I need you to know before you press play. Your brain does not know you are a coach yet. Not because you are not one. But because you have spent 20 plus years giving it evidence that you are a corporate professional. And now you are trying to tell it something different. So it is doing exactly what it is designed to do. It is resisting. It is pulling you back toward the familiar. It is whispering things like who are you to charge for this or you are not ready yet. That is not God. That is not wisdom. That is your brain running old programming. And you can change it. The Bible told us how thousands of years ago. Neuroscience just caught up. In this episode I am connecting the dots between Romans 12:2, Joshua 1:8, Hebrews 12:11, Colossians 3:2 and 3:23, and Romans 8:28 and what neuroscience has discovered about neuroplasticity, neuroplasticity windows, and self-perception theory. And I am telling you the full story of what happened when I chose to answer God's question with action instead of waiting to answer it with a feeling. This is not a motivational episode. It is a practical one. And by the time it is over you are going to know exactly what to do this week to start giving your brain the evidence it needs to catch up to who God already says you are. If you have been waiting to feel like a coach before you start acting like one, this episode is going to be the most important thing you listen to this week. Because the harvest does not come to those who wait to feel ready. It comes to those who are trained by the discipline. And your hardest season is not slowing down that process. It is accelerating it. In this episode you will hear what neuroplasticity actually is and why your brain is not as fixed as you think, why your hardest seasons are actually your neuroplasticity windows and what that means for you right now, the Hebrew meaning of the word meditate in Joshua 1:8 and why God gave Joshua a complete neuroscience protocol before walking into battle, what Romans 12:2 is actually describing when it says be transformed by the renewing of your mind, the full story of what happened when God asked me who do I say you are in the middle of caregiving full time with no corporate safety net, why acting from your new identity before you feel it is not fake and what the research says about why it works, and the exact first actions I took when I decided to stop waiting to feel like a coach and start being one. 23| The Real Reason You Can't Choose a Niche (It's Not What You Think)

Let me ask you something before you hit play. What does your LinkedIn headline say right now? If it says something like "helping women live their best life" or "Christian entrepreneur passionate about purpose" or "empowering women to reach their full potential," sis, we need to talk. Because that headline is talking to everybody and reaching nobody. And until that changes, the algorithm is not your problem. Your vagueness is. In this episode I am getting into something most coaches will not say out loud. Your niche problem is actually a courage problem. And I know because I lived it. I had 20 plus years of corporate experience, health coaching and stress management certifications, a ministry background, a burnout story, and ten links to ten different random offers on my website. I thought knowing a lot meant I should offer a lot. I thought not wanting to turn anyone away was generous. It wasn't generous, sis; it's fear. Here is what finally did it for me. Someone reached out wanting to work with me. And I sat there reading their message thinking two things at the exact same time. They have absolutely no idea what I actually do and I don't want to work with this person. That uncomfortable moment was the beginning of everything changing. In this episode we get into why a vague message is invisible no matter how consistently you post, the direct connection between your LinkedIn headline and your empty DMs that nobody is explaining clearly, why your ideal client is not ignoring you but genuinely cannot recognize herself in your content, the real reason you have not picked a niche yet even though you have heard the advice a hundred times, and three things you can do today, not someday, to fix this before you record another piece of content. This is the episode I wish someone had sat me down and made me listen to before I spent years confusing the wrong people and hiding from the right ones. If you have been posting consistently and getting crickets, if your DMs are quiet and your follower count is not moving, if you have been wondering whether you are just not cut out for this, this episode is going to give you a very different diagnosis. And the good news is it is completely fixable. In this episode you will hear why your vague LinkedIn headline is directly connected to your empty client roster, the story of the inquiry that finally forced me to get specific about who I serve, why the reticular activating system in your ideal client's brain means a vague message is scientifically invisible to her, the real fear underneath the "I help everyone" story you have been telling yourself, the faith case for choosing a specific person to serve using Moses and Esther as your evidence, and three concrete actions you can take today to start fixing this before you post another single piece of content.
