The Stalking and Murder of Clare Bernal

The Betrayal & Murder of Sarah Stern

Episode 53: In December 2016, 19-year-old Sarah Stern was murdered in her home by her childhood friend, in Neptune City, New Jersey. The killer plotted for six months to rob Stern of what he believed was $100,000 in cash hidden in her home, money inherited after her mother’s death. In a recorded confession, the killer detailed how he used a stopwatch on his phone to time her death, which took 30 minutes.
