Van Jensen is an author of novels, comic books and graphic novels, as well as a writer of film and TV. He is the creator of the GODFALL trilogy (Grand Central), in development as a TV series from Imagine Entertainment with Academy Award-winner Ron Howard attached to direct. Previously, he served as a Comic Book Ambassador for the U.S. State Department. Jensen was born and raised in a village in Western Nebraska. He lives in Atlanta.

Matt is the author of six critically acclaimed novels and several screenplays. Three of his novels, A Single Shot, Deepwater and Boot Tracks have been made into major motion pictures. He has taught writing at a number of colleges and universities, including the University of Virginia, Randolph Macon College and Lynchburg College. He grew up on a horse and dairy farm in rural upstate New York and currently lives in Charlottesville, Virginia.

He has authored two nonfiction books and six novels. His most recent novel, The Sacrifice of Lester Yates, was released in April of 2021 by Arcade CrimeWise, and was a finalist for the 2021 Dashiell Hammett Award for outstanding crime writing. Favorite Sons was named the 2011 Book of the Year for Mystery/Suspense by USA Book News. A Brilliant Death was a Barnes & Noble No. 1 bestseller and a finalist for both the 2017 Edgar Award and the Silver Falchion Award for best adult mystery. Yocum is also the host of the true-crime podcast, Dead Before Deadline, which features stories he covered when he was a police and investigative reporter for the Columbus Dispatch.
