A 21 year old female finishes a study abroad program in Spain and decides to go on an adventure, alone, in Northern Africa. Ava Debruin, a recent graduate of Elon University, went through her college experience smack dab in the middle of COVID. Anyone out there relating? Still reeling from that? I never expected to land in Fiji toward the end of a 15 month journey across the world.  But Fiji called me through a series of love interests, beckoning island beaches, and the Fijian people who right from the start shared their generous hearts and warm homes with me and my companion as we drank kava and ate our way through this island nation with gusto!
