Being in My Goodness
What if grounding yourself was as simple as making one repeated mark on paper? In this episode of Being in My Goodness, I’m sharing one of my favorite regulating practices called Making Marks. This is a simple sensory-based practice that brings together movement, touch, sound, sight — and sometimes even smell — through pen, paper, and repetition. You choose one mark — a line, circle, X, triangle, whatever feels good — and repeat it over and over until your body feels complete. I use this while learning, listening, sitting in meetings, or anytime I need to shift out of overthinking and back into steadiness. It’s grounding, creative, and a little playful all at once. Sometimes your body doesn’t need more thinking. Sometimes it just needs something simple to do with its hands. --- Each week I we add to this practice A new exercise to be in your goodness To test drive them and create your practice Grab your own list here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1j53yXVYVmXnz3PHfV3IOPwe_SwLA2ePOWbqJGVc0fWM/edit?usp=sharing [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1j53yXVYVmXnz3PHfV3IOPwe_SwLA2ePOWbqJGVc0fWM/edit?usp=sharing] Updated weekly --- Enhance it with your Human Design How You’re Designed to Show Up A free Human Design experience https://www.triciaedwards.com/designed-to-show-up [https://www.triciaedwards.com/designed-to-show-up] Substack https://substack.com/@triciaedwards1 [https://substack.com/@triciaedwards1]
