The Art and Science of Feeding: Building Feeding Skills and Confidence on the First Three Years and Beyond (Part 3) with Argie Pitsakis M.S.Ed. CCC-SLP
Supporting Competent Eaters: Goals, Mindset, and Strategies for Lasting Success
This is the final episode in a three-part series led by Argie Pitsakis, feeding expert, renowned speech-language pathologist, and owner of Kids Feeding Wellness.
Building on the knowledge and insights from the first two sessions, this concluding episode focuses on the practical tools, long-term goals, and mindset shifts that help children develop a healthy, confident, and flexible relationship with food. Pitsakis will guide parents and professionals through proven strategies for supporting competent eaters—children who trust their bodies, explore foods with curiosity, and participate positively in mealtime routines.
Participants will learn how to cultivate a growth mindset in themselves and their children, model healthy attitudes around food, and nurture independence, confidence, and adaptability at the table. This session also introduces the KFW Three Food Zones Method, a systems-based approach to meal planning and food exposure designed to reduce mealtime stress, navigate picky eating, and promote a diverse, balanced diet.
