In this first episode of Together in the Trenches, we introduce the heart behind our name and the mission of this podcast. Inspired by Paul’s words in 2 Timothy 4:7 — “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” , we talk about why life, marriage, parenting, and ministry all feel like a battle, and how we’re called to fight faithfully together. We share a bit about who we are, how long we’ve been married, our family, and the ways we serve in our local church. You’ll also hear some fun insights about each other as we kick things off. Then we dive into some real conversations about marriage and parenting in today’s world:     •    Are those viral “you only have 12 summers with your kids” videos really true for Christians?     •    Do husbands “babysit” their own children?     •    And what about the social media trend: “How do you know you didn’t marry a loser?” Join us as we unpack these questionsand share some biblical perspective.
