Comics Take on the News is a satirical news panel show airing live on KBOO radio the 4 Monday of the month. It is hosted by comedians Dani Schi and Cimberly Nickell and features a rotating group of comedians. This is the first 1/2 of an episode that aired on February 23, 2026. Comedians joining the panel this month are David Seung (@sunnyd.o.g [https://www.instagram.com/sunnyd.o.g/#]): David Seung (he/him) is a second-generation Korean-American substitute teacher, standup comedian, adjunct professor, founder and sole employee of Side Dish Mafia Food Tours, and author of Silkworm’s Pansori (a full-length engagement with and appropriation of the traditional Korean sijo form of poetry releasing May 2025 through The Song Cave). The show is hosted by Dani Schi, and engineered by Cimberly Nickell and features a rotating group of comedian panalists. This is the second 1/2 of an episode that aired in January 20262 and features: Ash Allen (@AshAllenComedy [https://www.instagram.com/ashallencomedy/]): A repeat StorySLAM winner, 2025 Best of Portland Comedy finalist, Ash shares tall-yet-true stories on stages across the country. She hosts the weekly storytelling radio show Porch Hang and cohosts ROY G BIV, highlighting the best queer comedy Portland—and beyond—has to offer. In addition to performing, Ash teaches and coaches storytelling with Back Fence and recently produced and facilitated the sold-out King Tides Retreat on the Washington Coast.
