First Look, Final Word

Pete and Trevor sat at home with a pot of tea, some crackers, and of course CHEESE (and yes, it was Yorkshire Wensleydale), and watched Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl. Nick Park is back, along with Merlin Crossingham, directing only the second W&G feature film. Pete and Trevor drove right into the open arms of death itself, and its name is Nosferatu (not Dracula). Robert Eggers has had an incredible start to his directing career, but Nosferatu was the movie he was born to make. Starring Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Dafoe, with Bill Skarsgård as the gross old vampire himself, Nosferatu is a triumph of atmosphere, cinematography, and performance. Christmas with the kaiju. Pete and Trevor finally saw Godzilla Minus One, a full year after they fatefully picked Aquaman 2 as their movie of the week to cover. The guys discuss the new Superman: Legacy trailer, while patting themselves on the back for not going to see Kraven. Hello all you cardinals, archbishops, and wannabe popes, you need to check out Conclave, Edward Berger’s much anticipated follow up to All Quiet on the Western Front. Pete and Trevor watched from the comfort of a basement couch, and in addition to giving their immediate reactions to the film, discussed which actors are overdue for an academy award (which include the stacked cast of Conclave — Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, and Isabella Rossellini).
