The people in Jeremiah's day had turned the temple into a lucky charm, believing their attendance obligated God to bless them while their hearts remained unchanged. They chanted 'the temple of the Lord' as if the building itself could substitute for obedience and surrender. This isn't about diminishing the importance of gathering, giving, or serving. Rather, it's about understanding that these actions flow from relationship, not replace it. When we pursue God authentically, serving becomes joyful, giving becomes generous, and attending becomes life-giving. The invitation before us is to move beyond mere presence to passionate pursuit, to stop confusing our religious rhythms with relational intimacy. God doesn't want our perfect attendance; He wants our awakened hearts. He's knocking persistently, rising up early, calling us into something deeper than we've known, reminding us that we already possess an inheritance we may not even recognize. The question isn't whether God is moving, but whether we're truly listening and responding to His voice in the everyday moments of our lives.

"SUMMONS: Don't Miss the Season" - Pastor Mark Ogletree, 06/07/2026

Drawing from 2 Kings 2, Pastor Mark challenges us through the story of Elisha's pursuit of Elijah's mantle. The message centered on a critical question: "Are we truly present for what God is doing, or are we simply going through the motions?" We were reminded that there is a difference between being physically present and spiritually engaged. Just as many in Jerusalem celebrated Jesus without recognizing who He truly was, it is possible to attend church, participate in ministry, and still miss the divine moments God places before us. The message emphasizes that everything has a season, and wisdom is not only knowing the season we're in, but understanding what God requires of us during that season.

"I Am Because He Is" - Pastor Mark Ogletree, Easter Sunday, 04/05/2026

The Easter message from Pastor Mark, walks us through the final week of Jesus’ life—from His humble entrance into Jerusalem to His ultimate victory over death. We are reminded that Jesus didn’t come as a conquering king in the way people expected, but as a servant who gave His life for all of us. From betrayal and crucifixion to the empty tomb, every moment pointed to God’s incredible love and plan for redemption. The resurrection wasn’t just the end of the story—it was the moment everything changed.

"Untying Potential" - Pastor Brooks Till, Palm Sunday, 03/29/26

We were honored to have Pastor Brooks Till, the DYD for Tennessee Youth Ministries, as our guest minister. He brought a powerful message titled “Untying Potential,” drawing from the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry in the Gospel of Luke. Through the image of the colt that carried Jesus into Jerusalem, we were challenged to see ourselves in that story. Just like that donkey—tied up, unused, and seemingly ordinary—many of us have untapped potential that has yet to be released. Pastor Brooks reminded us that God isn’t looking for perfection or status—He’s looking for availability. When we allow God to untie us from fear, doubt, anxiety, or anything holding us back, we can become carriers of His presence.

"From the Tree to the Table" - Pastor Mark Ogletree, 03/22/26

Drawing from Luke 19:1–10, the story of Zacchaeus came to life as more than just a familiar Bible story—it became a picture of how Jesus meets us right where we are. Zacchaeus, a man rejected and overlooked by others, climbed a tree just to catch a glimpse of Jesus. Yet what he didn’t realize was that Jesus was already seeking him. In the same way, we are reminded that God sees us, knows us by name, and calls us not based on our past, but based on who we are becoming.
