Over North of Scotland Football League (NOSFL)

The North of Scotland Football League (NOSFL) is a league with teams mainly based in the NE of Scotland and was formed in 2025 after approval from the SFA to become its own autonomous league. It was formerly known as the North Region Junior Football Association and the league sits at levels 6–7 on the Scottish League Pyramid system, acting as a feeder to the Highland League. S1E60: The Final Hurrah

Grant and Dave bring down the curtain on an extraordinary NOSFL season for 2025/26. They start by clearing up the outstanding games left to be played. Bridge of Don Thistle and Buchanhaven Hearts returned to play that penalty shootout for the McLeman Cup where Thistle turned it around to win a second trophy of the season. The lads discuss their views on the shootout and look more widely at why both teams should look at this season as a whole positively in amongst surreal and extraordinary circumstances. We also hear from Bridge of Don Thistle manager Jamie Watt about the extraordinary events. Dyce won the Dominos North Regional Cup on Friday night with a 2-0 win over Colony Park, ensuring a first trophy in around a decade and a first major success for interim manager Cameron Buchan. Cammy and goalkeeper Morgan Cook spoke to Grant post match about the game and the guys discuss where this final leaves both teams at heading into next campaign. Saturday saw an extraordinary climax to the season with Deveronside winning the Jack and Brenda Whitehead Memorial Trophy and become 'Club 16' in the Premier League next season. They came from 2-1 down to defeat Newmachar United 3-2 at Balmoral Stadium and afterwards Dave caught up with Colin Legge, Joel Wiseman and Ryan Catto. We discuss what it means for the Banffshire team returning to the top flight for the first time since 2021/22 and examine where Newmachar United go from here following such a tough late defeat. The leagues and cups may be over but a summer of football is about to kick off with Champion Street 2026 just around the corner. Grant caught up with organiser Dani Kindness to chat about the upcoming event in July. The last part of the show sees Dave and Grant review the season as a whole and think about their own personal and league highlights. They also go onto discuss their awards of the season, both for the league as a whole and their alternative podcast awards too. They finally finish up by picking their own teams (and in Grant's case squads!) of the season. This podcast also is dedicated to Meatloaf, Wimbledon's rain covers, The Rollercoaster of Love by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Glayva whisky liqueur and a whole bunch of thank yous! S1E58: Fraserburgh United's Historical Double, Deveronside set for Newmachar Showdown and Fond Farewells

With Dave recovering after a stag do, Grant teamed up with Ellon United assistant manager Rhys Jones for the penultimate main episode of the inaugural NOSFL season. They discuss Ellon's end to the campaign, clinching survival for another season and chat about Rhys's journey in the game so far. It was a historical weekend for Fraserburgh United as they won the Elginshire Cup to add to the Championship title claiming the first double for the club in 46 years. Grant was there and caught up with Russell McBride as well as Blair Tait, Billy Bruce, Jake James and Aiden Robertson. Rhys and Grant also chat about what Fraserburgh United and Hall Russell United will offer to the top flight next season. Deveronside saw off Banchory St Ternan to reach the playoff final against Newmachar United. The lads look ahead to that match. Dave also provides some voice notes to both games as well as the outstanding league matches that took place. In a week full of farewells, Grant and Dave pay their own tributes to some characters who are moving on from the NOSFL at the end of the season. S1E56: Ups and Cups: Stonehaven Champions, Hall Russell Promoted and McLeman Cup Final Drama

Grant and Dave are back for one of the most talked about podcasts of the season so far. Friday saw an extraordinary McLeman Cup Final with Buchanhaven Hearts and Bridge of Don Thistle's match being abandoned midway through a penalty shootout. The guys discuss the game through their eyes and try to make sense of what happened. There was also further sadness as Banks o Dee Juniors announced they were going into abeyance at the end of the season. The lads pay tribute to Stuart Blackwood's side. Despite challenging circumstances elsewhere, The week past saw many stories across the league. Fraserburgh United claimed the Championship title on Tuesday night while that same evening Grant was at Denmore Park to see Hall Russell United gain promotion back to the top flight. He caught up with Carson Thompson, McColly Leslie and Craig Carroll post match. We discuss the relegation of Sunnybank to the Championship as Ross Doig's opening game ended up in a 5-1 defeat at home to Maud and chat about the sadness of the Bankies no longer being a top flight club. The story of the weekend was about Stonehaven as Martyn Rollo's side claimed a first Premier League title in 32 years. Dave caught up with Martyn and MOTM Adam MacLennan post match. Thereafter the lads laud and highlight the brilliant job of the Glenury Park side and give odes to legendary players Scott Whelan and Danny Anderson. On Saturday, Grant was at Broughty Ferry to see Culter who narrowly lost 3-2 to Dundee North End, sadly failing to become the first NOSFL side to win the John Reilly Memorial Trophy since 2009. Grant discusses the day and why he expects a strong Culter fightback next season. Elsewhere, Colony Park and Dyce make the Dominos North Regional Cup Final. The lads discuss great results for Scott Steele and Cammy Buchan's teams over Banks o Dee Juniors and Hermes respectively. The guys finish up with a preview of this week's games including the Playoff matches between Deveronside v Banchory St Ternan and the Elginshire Cup Final between Hall Russell United and Fraserbugh United. Also featuring: Guy Mowbray, Martin Luther King and plenty of brightness!
