Welcome back to... Jam Radio Hull? This is our Tour of the North! Over the next 6 weeks, come along with Purple as we discover our fellow student radio stations from across the north of England - Moore from Liverpool, Spark from Sunderland, LSR from Leeds, URY from York, Jam from Hull, and of course our beloved Purple from Durham. Come on a musical and historical journey with us across our university cities! This first episode is brought to you by Lizzie from Jam Radio in Hull.

Purple Radio X RT Minds Durham In Episode Three of the Never Give Up podcast series, listen to the incredible Ziggy talk about dealing with Anorexia and her road to recovery. Her story is truly moving, she is a real inspiration. If you have been affected by anything discussed in this episode, further guidance and access to support is available following the link below: https://www.nhs.uk/mental-health/feelings-symptoms-behaviours/behaviours/eating-disorders/overview/

Join WhoSoc for our latest discussion of Doctor Who's latest instalment, the 2024 Christmas special- an episode we do not have the highest opinion of. Tune in for our takes on the plot device of the Time Hotel, the character of Joy, and the religious imagery in the episode.

“Artistic freedom allows for artists to pursue any topic they want, from whichever perspective they choose from. Although it is generally agreed upon that this is a good thing, in recent years various works in literature, film etc have been criticised for inaccurate or insensitive portrayals, or for being motivated by a hidden ,or sometimes explicit, political agenda. This raises the question whether there are any responsibilities on what an artist is allowed to do, and more importantly not allowed to do when creating art." Thank you to Pavlos and Sarah for being our guests this week, and special thanks to Pavlos for writing the thesis.

Join us for another interview special. We were delighted to be joined by Durham University Choral Society to hear about the incredible work that they do and their exciting upcoming plans.
