My third guest, I sat down with aspiring Olympic hopeful Melody McAvoy. This episode we gain insight to this youngest member of Team GB who is currently training towards that goal for the 2028 games. We discuss Kristina's 11 year period with Nike and creating and reimagining some of our favourite sneakers (if you're watching this then you get to see first hand some of her work. How sport played a major part in her life to fuel her passion for sneakers for the future. Within our conversation we also discuss how important it is to have a community space for women that guide, nourish and support one another along with paving the way for up coming designers to come. Now with Lululemon entering the footwear realm and having recently released their first sneaker with more to come, I can't wait to see what is to come next of Kristina and her team at Lululemon. I'm back with Season 4 of The Imprint podcast I speak with Marrizles, Collector living with Disability and Chronic illness. Q1 has been an interesting time to say the least.  With brands/retailer ABLEISM at it highest for those who are exposed to it on daily basis and no consideration to the disabled community who try to be part of the sneaker eco-system. We sat down and discussed the challenges we face around the lack of "Inclusivity" within the sneaker community and made to feel left out of the sneaker eco-system completely with the lack of accessibility or information provided to attending these events. There are many restrictions in place as well as a lack of access for any of us with any kind of disability.  “If” and “When” the change will come when society and brands includes disabled people and stop being ABLEIST this will bring a next level of “INCLUSIVITY”, that’s when I/we might venture out again…Brands and Retailers need to do better!  I Will Bother You Time And Time Again Until You Get It Right!
