The Swan Dive: A BLFC Fan Show

Episode 23: Reign Recap/KC Current Preview

All good things must.come to an end. Don't worry, we arent talking about the podcast (you're stuck with us), but we are referring to the Legacy's unbeaten streak. It's been awhile since we have had to do one of these after a loss, but here we go. Andy and Courtney are joined by second time guest Brendan as they discuss the Legacy's 2-1 loss to Seattle Reign. We get into the good, the bad, the ugly (?) as well as talk a little about our first experience as Centrreville Bank Stadium (spoiler alert: yes, the pretzels were that. good). Then, we were joined by KC Blue Crew VP (and one of Courtney's longest NWSL buddies) Danielle to preview the upcoming match against the KC Current. Danielle gives a little history on the team, going back to the FCKC days, players to look out for (there are several) and gives a little insight in stadium vibes as a fan whose team is also playing in a smaller venue. Episode 22: Bay FC Review/Seattle Reign and Centreville Bank Stadium Preview

After a much needed rest after last week's crazy soccer and podcast schedule, we are back! This week, Andy and Courtney are joined by Boston Legacy and RIFC season ticket member Tyler to not only recap the Legacy game against Bay FC, but also share a little information about Centreville Bank Stadium; the Legacy's new home for the next handful of games. Tyler has some great information and advice on parking, game day vibes and (arguably) most important: concessions. We are also joined this week by Van and Coop from The Cooler Guild podcast to discuss all things Seattle Reign and preview the upcoming match. We had a great time chatting with them so make sure you check out their podcast; they give the info in the recording. Of course, we have to play the prediction game. Courtney was the only one who got points from the Bay FC game and she's closing the gap on our opposition (much to everyone's surprise probably). Episode 21: Orlando Pride Review/Bay FC Preview

We are back for this week's second episode! Sort of seems like we just did this doesn't it? (spoiler alert, we did). Totally worth it though, because we get to celebrate another Legacy win! Unbeaten in four games and not in last place anymore. Andy and Courtney were joined for this episode by Dave, who is really extending his lead in the "most Swan Dive appearances" race. We had a lot to talk about this week; lineup changes, odd officiating, subs, PKs x2, the return of Nicki Hernandez and more! It's always a fun time when we get to talk about a Legacy win. Unfortunately, we did not have an opposition guest to talk about Bay FC, but that doersn't mean we didnt talk about the team. Courtney, as the resident NWSL history nerd, pulled together some information on the team so we were able to do a little preview for the upcoming match Friday. Don't worry, the prediction game lives on, Andy utilized a random number generator to come up with an opposition prediction for this one, No one got any points from the Pride game. Episode 20: Gotham Recap/Orlando Pride Preview

Happy 20th episode! Hard to believe we have already done so many of these. Thanks to everyone who has been with us thus far. Twenty down, many, many more to go. Even better, we get to celebrate 20 episodes by talking about a big draw against reigning champions Gotham FC. In the first of two episodes scheduled for this week, Andy and Courtney are joined by returning guest Cathy to recap the big road point from the weekend. After that we are joined by Luis from Loud & Proud Orlando Podcast to preview the midweek game vs Orlando Pride. Luis gives us a ton of great information on the Pride over the years, how they are looking this year and what we can all look forward to for this week's match. As always, the podcast ends with our prediction segment. Episode 19: Denver Summit Recap/Gotham Preview

We got three points! After a great mid week draw against the Courage, the Legacy picked up all three points against Denver Summit in somewhat dramatic fashion (hello two goals basically in stoppage time?) We were so pumped to record this episode. Andy and Courtney are joined by returning guest and self described Swan Dive Super Fan Brooks to recap the Legacy's big win. We then were joined once again by Gary from the Soccer Over Gotham podcast for the Gotham preview. Gary shares his thoughts on the season so far for Gotham and things to watch heading into this weekend's rematch. As always, we rounded out the show with our predictions for the match.
