A student and a teacher introduce the Center for Applied Learning and Community Impact

The Center for Applied Learning and Community Impact, or CALCI, is an exciting new program offered to all 11th- and 12th-graders in Eugene School District 4J. It's a hands-on program that currently consists of the student-run Creative Current Design studio and Future Build. These are incredible opportunities for students to learn and lead, they also work and build relationships with industry professionals. There are plans to expand the number of programs in the future. The real-world projects students complete help address community needs and issues. Hear what one South Eugene High School student has to say about his experience. Let's just say he is really excited about what he's doing. What is the Eugene Education Foundation? What do they do? How you can help them and Eugene School District 4J students.

Eugene School District 4J and the Eugene Education Foundation (EEF) have been partners for more than 20 years. EEF was founded in 1993 to provide more 4J student enrichment. The non-profit raises money through several sources and uses that money to reward grants to teachers and other 4J staff for projects and materials. In this episode we learn how EEF helps students and staff, and the type and number of grant requests filled in the 2023-24 grant cycle. EEF has to do a tremendous amount of fundraising to fulfill all of the request they receive. EEF’s biggest fundraiser is their 2024 EEF Spring Gala, Moving Forward Together, which is happening on March 21 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the U of O Ford Alumni Center. Tickets are available on EEF’s website, eef.lane.org [http://eef.lane.org]. If you can’t make the event, donations are also accepted through EEF’s website. *Super insights podcasts are produced at KRVM 91.9 Public Radio, Eugene, Oregon

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
