Kino, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, is a gum obtained from certain tropical trees by tapping, used locally as an astringent in medicine and in tanning. And the Urban Dictionary defines it as flirtatious physical contact. But those definitions are WRONG (if one was to proclaim as such in a group of linguistic experts then one would be most embarrassed and most likely expelled from the premises for causing a ruckus). But the only definition we care about is the following: The highest form of artistry in the motion picture world. This is a podcast that celebrates movies, flicks, films, talkies, features and every other corner of the cinematic world. From Lynch to Welles, Mann to Kurosawa and everyone else in between. We're back with another dissection of a film, only this time we have actually chosen something good and not abject trash. The cult British comedy Withnail and I is often beloved and cited as one of the best British films out there; although that point causes a bit of debate between our two hosts. Videogame movie adaptations have a fairly notorious track record of being awful wastes of time; and we would be inclined to agree with you, in fact this episode mostly smack talks them. However we do give you some recommendations on examples of good video game movies, as well as suggesting our own on top of figuring out why they just don't work at all.

So we found a terrible, rubbish British crime caper that we decided to give an hour long deconstruction. We don't recomend you watch the movie Original Gangster, but we certainly can't stop you from doing so. Just a word of warning; it will cause physical pain and a hatred for the cockney accent.

Episode 3: Carpenter's Apocalypse Trilogy

Since the dawn of time one question has been asked: Do you read Sutter Cane? Well The Thing is, that aforementioned Prince of Darkness is actually a fictional character from the film In The Mouth of Madness so it is impossible to have read his works. Puns aside, this episode is all about John Carpenter's thematic trilogy known as 'The Apocalypse Trilogy'; which consists of The Thing, Prince of Darkness and In The Mouth of Madness. All linked by the narrative idea of the world ending as we know it via some spooky happenings of supernatural of extra terrestrial origins
