Theology & Science Series - Part 3

It is a fact that we do not only encounter and create information in our own technology, but we also find information in our biology. It is present in every cell of every living organism on Earth. But this begs the question, “How did this information arise? What does information in my cells imply about humankind? Who or what wrote this ‘book of life’?” "DNA functions like a software program and contains specified information just as software does. We know from experience that software comes from programmers. We know generally that specified information — whether inscribed in hieroglyphics, written in a book, or encoded in a radio signal — always arises from an intelligent source. So the discovery of such information in the DNA molecule provides strong grounds for inferring (or detecting) that intelligence played a role in the origin of DNA, even if we weren’t there to observe the system coming into existence."

Theology & Science Series - Part 2

What would you say if I told you there was another universe inside of our own? A much smaller universe on the microscopic and even nanoscopic scale, that consists of objects that are too small to be seen with the naked eye. A realm of cells, molecules, atoms, and particles, governed and organized by extremely sophisticated biological networks, molecular systems, anomalous physical laws, and primeval technology that far outsurpass our own. Would your intuition tell you they were developed? Or designed? In this episode, we will be talking about the concept of irreducible complexity, the complexity of microscopic machines and the probability of DNA. Be mindful. Victory lies just ahead.

Theology & Science Series - Part 1

Do you understand the inherent complexity supporting all life? Do you appreciate the miracle of the creation of all creatures, animals, plants, underwater life and microscopic life? Can you realize the explanation, meaning and reason behind the fact that any life exists in the universe at all, including your own? What exactly is science? What can it do and what can it not do? Is it adequate enough to explain the "big questions" like how did reality start, or what our purpose is? These questions sound simple on the surface but are actually quite involved. This episode will explain these by introducing the chance hypothesis and chemical necessity, discussing the probabilities of life, what scientific "proof" is and more. The next episode will continue in this topic, specifically the marvelous complexity of molecular life and its origins.
