www.ellieaudhd.com To subscribe to Spotify Exclusives https://creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/ellie-capstick/subscribe Hey guys, it’s me, Ellie and this is my tiny part of the world a space that represents me and sometimes “us”🤍 Here I pride myself on being honest, down to earth, open, sometimes a bit sweary… but most importantly, unapologetically me. It’s taken me a long time to get here and I nearly at times didn’t , but I made it — just in time for perimenopause (joy 😭). This is a safe, inclusive space for everyone — neurodivergent and non-neurodivergent people, ADHD, autistic and AuDHD minds, men, women, non-binary people, all ages, races, religions, identities, and backgrounds. Whether you’re diagnosed, self-identifying, questioning, struggling, healing, or simply trying to understand yourself better… you are welcome here. Because once upon a time, I needed a space like this — and I felt welcome nowhere. So let’s not recreate that. After years of ADHD masking, autism masking, people pleasing, emotional burnout, and trying to fit into spaces that never fully fit me, I’m now on a journey to better understand myself, my AuDHD brain, and what it really means to live authentically as a neurodivergent woman — whilst training as a therapist, working as a mentor and coach, and occasionally doing motivational speaking. If you’re navigating ADHD, autism, AuDHD, masking, burnout, executive dysfunction, rejection sensitivity, overwhelm, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or the emotional reality of being neurodivergent in a world that doesn’t always understand you — you’re welcome here. We also sometimes touch on trauma, healing, relationships, identity, mental health, and nervous system overwhelm… because a problem shared is a problem halved and all that and I’ve had an exciting life (ffs) AuDHD and then some is a neurodivergent mental health podcast hosted by Ellie, exploring the real and often unspoken side of ADHD, autism, and late-diagnosed AuDHD. Expect honest conversations, relatable reflections, and practical insights around: • ADHD and autism (AuDHD) • Neurodivergent identity and unmasking • Executive dysfunction and autistic burnout • Emotional regulation and nervous system overwhelm • Rejection sensitivity and people pleasing • ADHD in women and high-masking autism • Late diagnosis grief and self-acceptance This isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about understanding your brain, softening the noise, and feeling a little less alone. ✨ More resources, bonus content and community: audhdandthensome.com audhdandthensome.com/audhdmembership patreon.com/AuDHDandThenSome”

🎙️ New Episode: Rebuilding Yourself After Narcissistic Abuse with Skye Bellarmine Content note: This episode includes discussions of narcissistic abuse, gaslighting, trauma, emotional manipulation, and recovery. In this episode of AuDHD… And Then Some, I’m joined by Skye Bellarmine for a powerful and deeply honest conversation about surviving narcissistic abuse, learning to recognise the warning signs, and rebuilding your life after years of self-doubt. Together, we discuss: 💜 What narcissistic abuse can look like in everyday life. 💜 How gaslighting slowly makes you question your own thoughts, memories, and instincts. 💜 Why leaving isn’t always as simple as people think. 💜 Rebuilding trust in yourself after emotional manipulation. 💜 Setting healthy boundaries without guilt. 💜 The long journey of healing and discovering who you are again. 💜 Why taking recovery one small step at a time can be life-changing. episode Gazit Chaya Nkosi on Neurodivergence, Justice & LGBTQIA+ Identity cover

Gazit Chaya Nkosi on Neurodivergence, Justice & LGBTQIA+ Identity

Why are so many neurodivergent people driven by justice? Why is there such a strong overlap between neurodivergence and the LGBTQIA+ community? And what does it really mean to live authentically? In this episode of AuDHD… And Then Some, I’m joined by Gazit Chaya Nkosi for one of my favourite conversations I’ve had on the podcast so far. We explore the relationship between ADHD, autism (AuDHD), identity, justice sensitivity, authenticity, the nervous system, burnout, masking, and belonging. We also discuss why so many LGBTQIA+ people identify as neurodivergent, what it means to question cultural expectations, and how listening to your body can help you build a life that truly fits who you are. This is a thoughtful, compassionate, and deeply honest conversation that covers: * Justice sensitivity in neurodivergent people * ADHD, autism and the drive for fairness * Neurodivergence and the LGBTQIA+ community * Queer and gender-expansive identity * Masking and authenticity * Nervous system regulation and burnout * Living in alignment with your values instead of other people’s expectations This episode genuinely became one of my favourites. I learned so much from Gazit, and I found myself completely absorbed in the conversation. Whether you’re neurodivergent, questioning your identity, supporting someone you love, or simply curious about the intersection of neurodiversity and gender, I think there’s something here for you. If this episode resonates with you, please consider following AuDHD… And Then Some, leaving a rating or review, and sharing it with someone who might benefit from hearing this conversation. #AuDHD #ADHD #Autism #Neurodivergent #LGBTQIA #NonBinary #JusticeSensitivity #Authenticity #Burnout #Masking #NervousSystem #MentalHealth #Neurodiversity

Executive Dysfunction: A Real Conversation Between Two Neurodivergent Women

🌈 New Podcast Episode Out Now! 🎙️ Ever wonder why starting a simple task can feel impossible… yet you can spend three hours researching something completely random? 😅 In this episode, Natasha and I have a completely honest, funny, and very real conversation about executive function and executive dysfunction. We talk about the everyday struggles, the unexpected laughs, and why this month’s theme inside our AuDHD… And Then Some Subscribers Hub is all about executive functioning. It’s a relaxed chat with plenty of relatable moments (and yes… a little bit of swearing from me 🤭). If you’ve ever thought… 🧠 “Why can’t I just get started?” 🧠 “Why does my brain work like this?” 🧠 “Is anyone else like this?” …this one’s for you.

episode Healing Was Never the Destination: Living After Trauma | Dr. Lisha Antiqua cover

Healing Was Never the Destination: Living After Trauma | Dr. Lisha Antiqua

Trigger warning: This episode contains discussions of childhood trauma, abuse, human trafficking, addiction, and suicide. Please listen with care. Oh my goodness… where do I even begin? Dr. Lisha has taught me so much about myself, healing, and perspectives I’d never even considered before—particularly around the more spiritual and energetic aspects of healing. Whether or not every idea resonates with every person, our conversation genuinely challenged me to think differently, and I’m so grateful for that. I will absolutely be recommending Dr. Lisha’s courses and website to anyone interested in exploring her approach to trauma recovery and personal transformation. She has opened my mind to looking at healing from a completely different perspective. Thank you, Dr. Lisha, for your openness, your wisdom, and such a fascinating conversation. You’re not only beautiful—you are incredibly intelligent too. It was an absolute pleasure to have you on the podcast.

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
