Episode 16: Injury, Rehab, and the role of Chiropractors with Dr. Chris Feil

Physical Therapy will be a part of most people's lives at some point, whether it's due to injury, aging, a surgery, or preventing ailments. There are many types of practitioners out there who can help you get to where you need to be, but who is the right one? What should I look for in a doctor? and how should I go about continuing my care after my therapy? To discuss these questions I have invited Dr. Chris Feil on to the podcast. Dr. Feil has years of experience as a chiropractor working with the general public, athletes, and at the National Naval Medical Center helping our nation's wounded. He has recently expanded his practice to create a team of healthcare workers that work together to get the best possible patient outcomes called United Movement. You can find Dr. Feil on Instagram at @unitedmovementames and @teamchiroames.

Episode 15: A Deep Look into Back Pain with Dr. Ryan Peebles of Core Balance Training

Back pain is something that 80% of people will feel in their life whether it is a dull ache or a chronic issue that greatly affects your life. In a world of computers and cell phones it is more important than ever we take the steps towards keeping our back healthy and resilient against ailments. This episode discusses how we can do that using correct movement patterns beginning with small, simple movements and slowly working your way up to large movement patterns. The caveat is it doesn't matter what you do if you don't know how to do it correctly. To discuss back pain I have brought in Dr. Ryan Peebles. He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and creator of Core Balance Training, a program that everyone can do to help their back pain. I highly suggest reaching out to Dr. Ryan and his team at www.CoreBalanceTraining.com or on Instagram at CoreBalanceTraining. You can also find a large amount of free information on the Core Balance Training Youtube page to see what it's all about! You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/@CoreBalance

Episode 14: Fitness On Demand with Mary Wolff

The pandemic changed many things, but in the fitness industry we saw a large shift towards online training. Even though Fitness On Demand was around before Covid, it has really taken off since. Being able to do exercise in your own home and on your own time takes away many barriers to doing exercise such as time, transportation, and gymtimidation. Fitness On Demand offers a wide variety of exercise types, trainers, and workout lengths to help you get the most out of your fitness journey. To help discuss this topic we had a guest, Mary Wolff. Mary is a trainer for Obe Fitness out of New York City and has been a part of the Fitness On Demand scene for quite a while now. Mary shares with us many details about how it works, how to start, what to expect, and how to keep yourself going.

episode Episode 13: The Mindset of Injury with Allie Welsh cover

Episode 13: The Mindset of Injury with Allie Welsh

Injuries are unavoidable, especially for those who involve themselves in sports. Whether someone is active in athletics or not, an injury can be a large event in ones life and how the injury is dealt with is going to determine how it affects the rest of their life. In this episode we discuss our own injuries and how we dealt, or did not deal with, the aftermath of the injuries. At the end of the discussion, we came to the conclusion that nobody can control what happens to them, only how they respond to what happens. To discuss this topic I brought in a guest named Allie Welsh. Allie is a content strategist at IBM, but had a long and successful career in athletics including division one lacrosse as well as competing on the Dew Tour and Olympic trials in half pipe skiing. Allie accomplished all of these feats despite a long list of injuries and surgeries that tried to derail her success. Allie was kind enough to open up about her injuries, her support group, and how her life was affected in order to help others get through the same obstacles.

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
