20. How services work together in different countries to reintegrate prisoners

In this episode Professor Sarah Hean, from the University of Stavanger, Norway talks with PHD candidate Amanda Pasma from Leiden University in the Netherlands.  They talk of how the Netherlands uses the offender management framework as a means of managing relations between prisons and community services and compare this with the Norwegian Import model.  They discuss Amanda´s research into current contact between prisoner and professionals from prisons and community, the invisibility of prisoners with certain reintegration needs and the implications of this.   Extra resource/Further reading * Pasma, Amanda & van Ginneken, Esther & Palmen, Hanneke & Nieuwbeerta, Paul. 17. Contact is not enough: Better together when working in African European Partnerships

In this episode Prof Sarah Hean from the University of Stavanger reflects on what it means to work well together in trans continental partnerships.  She draws on her earlier reflections on “contact is not enough” and explores how we can achieve equality amongst participants.  She uses the NOREC consortium, a collaboration between Tanzania and Norway by way of example , and calls for a routine decoloniality perspective when managing social innovation in these partnerships.
