Sprained ankles might be the most common injury & the most commonly ignored one. Especially if your main sport requires you to rapidly change directio or accel or decel, you want to have a full functioning ankle. For the second part of the stress fracture podcast, I invited Emma. Emma had multiple stress reactions and is now learning not only how to deal with them and how to rehab them but also how much her lifestyle the last 20 years played a role in this.  We talk about the beliefs around training & food she has carried with her for long and which she now starts to question & reframe.  We talk about the early signs of stress reactions, how her body feeling & trust in herself changed due to the injuries and how injured athletes can advocate better for themselves in the doctors office.  Stress reactions and fractures are not bad luck - they’re signals of your body.
