Most people know it’s good to be grateful; however, many don’t understand what gratitude really does for us. Expressing gratitude shifts your energy instantly. It puts you in harmony with your source of supply so that the good in everything moves toward you. In The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles said, “The grateful mind is constantly fixed upon the best. Therefore, it tends to become the best; it takes the form or character of the best and will receive the best.” Bob Proctor and Sandy Gallagher have a habit of practicing gratitude every morning. The Gratitude exercise is a simple reminder and tool for you to develop the habit of starting your day like they do. Use this 10-minute video timer to help you in your daily gratitude practice. Follow the three steps below. 1. Make a list of 10 things you are grateful for. Items on the list can be as simple and easy as lovable people or animals in your life or the cup of coffee you are drinking. You can also get really deep with this and write down things you are grateful for in advance before they have shown up in your life. 2. Be quiet for 5 minutes and ask for guidance for the day. This is simple. After you write your list, just close your eyes (or keep them open) and sit quietly for about five minutes and just ask (Sprit, God, Infinite Intelligence, The Universe – whatever you want to call it) for guidance for your day ahead. You stay quiet and ready to receive the guidance you are asking for. 3. Send love to 3 people who are bothering you. This can be the hardest part to accomplish but also the most powerful. Do you have to limit it to three? Yeah try to limit it to three. If no one is bothering you, then just send love to yourself. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the profound impact starting your day with this exercise will have on your life.
