episode James Gordon cover

James Gordon

He’s written for symphony orchestras, musical theatre and dance works, scored films, and for more than ten years was heard on CBC radio as songwriter-in-residence for the ’Basic Black’ and ‘Ontario Morning’ programs. Between tours, James is a record producer, playwright, community activist, theatre director and currently has a part-time ‘side hustle’ as a Guelph City Councillor. These days he’s perhaps known as the composer of the viral internet hit “Crybabies Caravan”, about the so-called ‘Freedom Convoy’ in Ottawa. It’s received more than 300,000 views and stimulated a lot of inspiring discussion. His songwriting-in-the-schools program “Rhyme Capsules” has brought him all over the world, creating songs with students of all ages, and it earned him a place of honour on the “Wall of Fame” in Guelph’s Youth Music Centre. episode Boreal - Angie Nussey cover

Boreal - Angie Nussey

https://borealsongs.ca/ [https://borealsongs.ca/] Canadian singer-songwriters Katherine Wheatley [https://katherinewheatley.com/], Angie Nussey [https://angienussey.com/] and Tannis Slimmon [https://tannis.ca/]. come together to form the powerhouse trio, Boreal. Their new album, Winterbirds [https://borealsongs.bandcamp.com/album/winterbirds], has earned Canadian Folk Music Award nominations for Album of the Year, Ensemble of the Year, and Vocal Group of the Year. Their show is thrilling, moving, and beautiful, and it has earned them a devoted audience and stunning reviews. On stage, they are warm, open, and disarmingly funny, forming an immediate and genuine connection with their audience. With roots in Parry Sound and Sudbury, Ontario and Oak Lake, Manitoba, Boreal carries the stories of the places that shaped them — the seasons, the weather, the land, and the people who touched their hearts. Alongside a wide-ranging collection of songs, Boreal is known for exquisite harmonies and rich, inventive vocal arrangements. Their music weaves three distinct voices – Katherine’s is deep and rooted in earthy folk; Tannis’s is improvisational and explores sacred soundscapes; Angie is the emotional, untamed force. When they write and arrange their songs, they take advantage of these differences. The result is a unique sound that’s as cohesive as it is surprising. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
