#1 New BC Conservative Party Leader
Former Conservative MP and federal cabinet minister Kerry-Lynne Findlay won the B.C. Conservative leadership race on May 30 on the fourth ballot in a close contest that saw her secure 51 percent of the vote, with political commentator Caroline Elliott receiving 49 percent.

#2 BC Gov adds 400 American Health Workers
As of January 2026, more than 400 U.S.-trained health professionals have accepted job offers throughout the province, including rural and remote regions, nearly triple the last update. (From BC Gov website)

#3 MAID for Catholic Priest and Tim Hortons Customers?
A Vancouver priest recovering from a hip fracture at Vancouver General Hospital says he was twice offered assisted death by health-care staff who knew he was a priest and opposed to euthanasia — a practice critics say is growing as medical professionals are increasingly encouraged to initiate such conversations.
“There are some things you just don’t talk about to some people,” said Fr. Larry Holland, who has completed studies in health-care chaplaincy in addition to serving at numerous parishes in the Archdiocese of Vancouver.

#4 Lifelabs For Sale and Digital ID

#5 Cancel Homeschoolers but Fund the Punjabi Program?
With the stroke of a pen, the government of British Columbia has pulled funding from a long-standing Christian online homeschool provider, leaving families across the province scrambling for answers.
Parents enrolled with Christian Homelearners eStreams (CHeS) were notified last week that the Ministry of Education has cancelled the school’s Group 1 certification, effective June 30, 2026. #6 Canadian Armed Forces and Ethnic Infighting
A confidential Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School report has revealed a complete breakdown in basic officer training following a surge in permanent resident enrolment.

#7 BC Mom Speaks Up Against Land Acknowledgments in Schools
Since December 2025, Yates has been banned from attending her children’s school, Chatelech Secondary, after she publicly opposed a land acknowledgment she was subjected to ahead of her child’s performance. Her children were also temporarily barred, but the fallout didn’t stop there.
According to Yates, her daughter was singled out by staff due to her mother’s verbal protest against the racially charged mantra, causing her to be bullied and distressed. But instead of an apology, Yates claims her child was reported to protective services. (Credit: Rebel News)
