Creating Your Own Intent Statement
This weeks episode is short and sweet but don't be fooled it's still MEGA IMPORTANT. We're sharing how we've helped ourselves, and many others craft their own intent statement. Some people call it their "why", some people call is a mission statement, call it what you want but you need to know what it is to run your business well. Think of this like the gas in your car, flicking the switch on to a lamp, it's what drives your business. So listen up, grab a pen, and prepare to put in the work. Like all good things it take some time and reflection to make sure it reflects your intent in the most simple and east to digest way. As always if you have any issues, send us a DM we're so happy to help you get clear on your intent statement. Stay tuned on instagram as we share a snapshot of the formula this week.

Who Are We Here To Serve?
We needed to regroup, plain and simple. It had been a while since we had one of our longer meetings. Bakit has been and always will be us showing up making an honest effort to share our experiences in the hope that it may benefit YOU... but who is that YOU that we're speaking to? In today's episode we took a second (more like 30 minutes) to discuss the evolution in our messaging and who our work has been for all along. We cover... 1)Who we are doing this for 2)What the purpose is 3)Who specifically we're trying to help by doing this 4) What business needs now We will be the first to admit there was some fear around making declarations about who this was for previously since we didn't want to limit ourselves, but the time is come for us to shout it out (actually we just talk normally) We reference one particular piece of info which can be found here: https://www.instagram.com/sister.is/?hl=en Enjoy!
Exploring Culture: Sashah Ra
Repost of one of our most popular episodes from when we first started our podcast (and when it was called Shift)! Original air date: July 2018 In this episode we were lucky enough to chat with Sashah Ra. Lucky for a few different reasons. The first being she's an amazing womxn with a wealth of knowledge when it comes to social justice, the second being she was just about to embark on a year long journey working in Tanzania as a gender equality agent. We discuss the barriers that are stopping many social work organizations from serving those in need, in the best possible way. We explore why she has chosen to focus on youth throughout her career, and why she feels we need to invest more in them. As someone who is passionate about travelling Sashah breaks down the ways in which we need to explore, understand, and appreciate culture. Dissecting the difference between voyeurism and appreciation. Tune in to hear what you can do to advocate within your own community www.instagram.com/hellosashah/?hl=en medium.com/@sashahra/https-med…octalks-555de76b44e

In this episode we wanted to give you a step by step on how to build your social media in a way that works for you. Whether you’re solo or have a team this is the episode for you if you're struggling with the gram these days.
