With an OAM for services to sport, broadcasting and the community, David is one Australia’s best known and respected sports commentators. He has worked in radio and TV for over 40 years, covering a range of sports including cricket, rugby league, the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games. David has a pivotal commentary role in the Continuous Call Team and made his Big Bash League debut in 2017/2018 for Macquarie Sports Radio’s Summer of Cricket. Mathew Thompson is one of Australia’s leading sports commentators. He possesses a broad knowledge of all sports and brings his unique insight to Macquarie Sports Radio each day between 10 and 1. He’s heard around the country on Nine’s Wide World of Sports NRL coverage. He’s also been a regular contributor to Macquarie’s Continuous Call Team. Mathew has established a long career in sport with senior roles at 2GB and Fox Sports. He’s covered some of Australian sports biggest moments – and gets to discuss them every day! Aside from footy, Mat has a particular passion for cricket and rates broadcasting for Macquarie Sports Radio’s Summer of Cricket team as one of his career highlights.

Dual Melbourne Cup winning jockey Corey Brown says he's likely to miss more than a year of racing after a horror fall that could easily have left him in a wheelchair. Brown told Macquarie Sports Radio, "Everyone that's seen the x-rays and the CAT scans say that I'm extremely lucky to be even walking." He fell from Lord Arthur in the Queensland Derby in June and suffered terrible injuries.
