episode Episode 6: Be Prepared! cover

Episode 6: Be Prepared!

🕯️ Do you have enough oil? In this episode of Duct Tape and Jesus, we jump into Matthew 25:1–13, the Parable of the Ten Virgins, and talk about what it really means to be ready for Christ’s return. Jesus tells the story of ten women waiting for the bridegroom. Five came prepared with extra oil for their lamps, and five… well… let’s just say they didn’t plan ahead very well. 😬 When the bridegroom finally arrived in the middle of the night, only the ones who were prepared were able to go into the wedding feast. So what does the oil represent? Why couldn’t the wise virgins just share? And what does this parable teach us about our personal relationship with Jesus? In this episode we talk about: 🔥 What it means to keep your lamp full ⏳ Why spiritual preparation matters 🙏 Why your relationship with Jesus is something no one else can carry for you 🚪 The powerful moment when the door was shut 👀 And how Jesus calls us to stay watchful and ready We also get real about how easy it is to look ready on the outside but not actually be prepared on the inside. Faith isn’t something we can borrow from someone else—it has to be our own. Your pastor can’t lend it to you. Your parents can’t hand it to you. Your best friend can’t give you some of theirs. Just like in the parable… you have to bring your own oil. So grab your coffee, check your lamp, and join us for this conversation about faith, readiness, and keeping our hearts prepared for the return of Christ. ✨ Remember, duct tape and Jesus can fix anything. episode Episode 5: Cast Away cover

Episode 5: Cast Away

Episode 5 is here! In this episode, we talk about the powerful invitation found in First Epistle of Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” Life has a way of piling worries, stress, and burdens on our shoulders. We try to carry everything ourselves—our fears, responsibilities, uncertainties, and pain. But God never intended for us to live weighed down by it all. In “Cast Away,” we explore what it truly means to cast our cares on God. Not just to talk about our problems in prayer, but to release them into His hands. Just like casting a line into the water, this verse calls us to throw our worries far from us and trust that God will hold what we cannot. Join us as we unpack the context of this verse, talk about the difference between holding on and letting go, and discuss practical ways we can give our anxieties to God in our everyday lives. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, burdened, or worn down—this conversation is for you. As always, you can reach out to us via our facebook page or at our email: tapeandjesus@gmail.com [tapeandjesus@gmail.com] Have a blessed week and remember, if duct tape can't fix it, Jesus can. Also.... Jesus Loves You!!!

episode Episode 4: Bible Trivia....that you can't google fast enough! cover

Episode 4: Bible Trivia....that you can't google fast enough!

Think you know the Bible? Let’s put that to the test—but with a twist. In this episode, we’re playing multiple-choice Bible trivia, but we’re not stopping at the right answer. Each question opens the door to a mini Bible study, adding context, depth, and real-life application that goes far beyond trivia night faith. This isn’t about points or proving what you know. It’s about slowing down, digging deeper, and letting Scripture shape how we see God—and ourselves. Play along, reflect honestly, and don’t be surprised if a familiar story hits a little different this time. episode Jesus Said "Calm Down" cover

Jesus Said "Calm Down"

We recorded this episode during actual storms… which felt very on brand.    In this episode of Duct Tape & Jesus, we’re talking about what happens when life gets loud, the waves get high, and Jesus is somehow sleeping in the boat. (Or is he?). We’re reminded that just because Jesus is calm doesn’t mean He’s absent—and just because the storm is real doesn’t mean it gets the final say.   If you’ve ever panicked while Jesus stayed peaceful (relatable), this episode is for you. Trust isn’t about the absence of storms—it’s about knowing Who’s with you in them.    If you’re walking through a season that feels loud, uncertain, or overwhelming, this one’s for you.     Listen now  Jesus is still in the boat  Jesus loves you!   Book of the faces: https://www.facebook.com/ducttapeandjesus/ Email: tapeandjesus@gmail.com [tapeandjesus@gmail.com]

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
