John and his wife Marilyn have been part of Encounter Vineyard for a little while and a friend of Mark’s. John has been in ministry for many years, was General Superintendent of the Elim Pentecostal Churches for 16 years and from 2014-2018 was Chair of the Evangelical Alliance. He was also awarded the Lambeth Cross by the Archbishop of Canterbury in 2017! He is a well-known author and speaker. One key date for us is today as we have our Baptism Celebration in the building, where we have a number of people getting baptised. We are now in our year long journey through the book of Mark and today Mark is bringing a message called ‘The Secret to Living a Life Like Jesus.’ In this message he is looking at how we see Jesus model what it looks like to spend time alone with the Father and how the power of prayer can fuel us, just as it did for Jesus.
