This week, I’m reviewing That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Tears of the Azure Sea, and somehow… Gobta ended up being the MVP of the entire movie. What started off feeling like another random non-canon anime film actually turned into a surprisingly fun ride with better stakes, solid action, and a focus on characters that normally don’t get much attention. I talk about why this movie worked better for me than the last Slime film, why making Rimuru less involved actually helped the story, and how the movie handled its villains, the Aqua Dragon, and Gobta’s unexpected spotlight.
