The Gift of The Holy Spirit to The Samaritans - Acts 8:4-25 - January 18, 2026

The promise of the gospel is that God forgives sins and gives the Holy Spirit to all who repent and call upon him to be saved. The forgiveness of sins and the Holy Spirit are now given to the Samaritans. But the Holy Spirit is sovereign, and he cannot be purchased or controlled. To think that salvation and the gift of the Holy Spirit are for selfish gain is a grave sin. We come to Christ for Christ alone. We receive Christ’s Spirit as a gift for the glory of God in our lives. Grace Community Church exists to build spiritually healthy people for ministry in the world. One of the ways that we pursue this mission is by gathering each Sunday for corporate worship, prayer, and biblical teaching.
