The message of Galatians has been that we are justified before God by the merits of Christ that we receive by faith, and not by our merit achieved by keeping the law. Now we hear that we are made holy by walking in the Spirt who we have also received by faith. The grace that sent Christ to the cross to save us from our sins is the grace that sent the Holy Spirit into our hearts to make us holy like Christ.
