Vanished on the Road: Real Cases (#135-2)

High Strangeness: People Who Vanish on the Highway   The script introduces High Strangeness and explores real cases of people who began trips on highways and vanished without clear explanations, often leaving behind abandoned cars and personal items with few witnesses or cameras. It recounts the 2004 disappearance of college student Marie Murray in rural New Hampshire after a winter crash and the 2008 disappearance of college student Brandon Swanson in rural Minnesota after he called his parents from his ditched car and then abruptly went silent. It also references multiple disappearances near Long Island highways that led to remains found along the roadside and the case known as the Long Island Serial Killer, highlighting how highways can conceal crimes. The episode considers why highways enable disappearances—isolated, transient spaces—and notes reports  of unsettling feelings on certain roads.   01:00 Why Highways Hide People 01:45 Maura Murray Vanishes 02:37 Brandon Swanson Last Call 03:20 Long Island Serial Killer 04:07 Why It Keeps Happening 04:49 Final Thoughts and Farewell

#133-2. Program Your Reality / Lucid dreaming

Programming Lucid Dreams: Mapping Techniques, Shared Dreaming, and the Hero’s Journey with Vaughn Brasch   In this High Strangeness episode, the host interviews Vaughn Brasch, who lives on a rustic eight-square-mile San Juan Island and wrote Programming Your Lucid Dreams while working in an art studio. Brasch distinguishes “common” restless dreams from lucid dreams, describing lucid dreams as vivid, focused experiences in which the dreamer is aware and can exert control, sometimes likening them to near-death experiences and out-of-body states. He recounts a spontaneous lucid dream while snowed in on Mount Hood that led him to study yoga and self-hypnosis, seek a dream guide, and develop a “mapping” pictograph technique to induce lucid dreams by relaxing the body, quieting the analytical mind, and visualizing destinations. The conversation covers time’s fluidity in lucid states, stillness as a key habit, shared lucid dreaming done simultaneously, and the hero’s journey as a model for personal transformation. Brasch shares where to find his book and mentions an upcoming  book, Healing the Subtle Body.   00:00 Welcome and Introductions 00:45 Life on the San Juan Island 01:59 Rustic Living and Island Amenities 03:47 Art Studio and Writing Routine 04:46 What Is a Lucid Dream 05:01 Common Dreams vs Lucid Dreams 09:04 Control and Power in Lucidity 11:08 Leaving the Body and Subtle Bodies 14:35 Snowed In Awakening Story 17:35 Finding a Dream Teacher 18:54 Programming Dreams With Mapping 26:30 Time Dilation and Near Death Parallels 28:03 Duration Over Clocks 29:14 Snapshots And Film Time 31:22 Stillness For Lucid Beginners 32:42 Slow Down And Disconnect 33:56 Heroes Journey Explained 41:21 Shared Dreaming Setup 45:28 Getting Lost And Finding Guides 47:31 Yoga Sutras And Inner Spirit 49:34 Lucid Dreams As Life Change 51:52 Books Projects And Farewell     Youtube- https://youtu.be/X1E46Yf_VrM [https://youtu.be/X1E46Yf_VrM]

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
