Each week I offer my reflections on the love of God as a beginner on the Christian mystical and contemplative path. While Christianity—is my native tongue—this path is not exclusive to Christians. In fact, it flows in deep harmony with the mystical heart of all the world’s great traditions, like the stillness of Zen, the surrender of Sufi Love, the non duality of Advaita,  the sacred silence in indigenous wisdom, ...or the sacred fire of Kabbalah, where every letter, every breath, every crack in the world is a doorway back to the One who is endlessly hidden and endlessly near. You don’t need to be religious, or even spiritual in any traditional sense. The Love I speak of isn’t confined to dogma or doctrine. It’s open to Atheists and Agnostics alike.  It’s the Love that undergirds all of reality—the silent intimacy that holds us even now, beneath our thoughts, behind our striving, before we had names for any of this. So however you come—come as you are as we all dive into the deep into the deep end of The Great Mystical Mystery or as I like to call it - infinitely compassionate and unconditionally affectionate LOVE OF GOD.
