Welcome to the Hope Center Indy Podcast! Hope Center Indy is a residential care program for women overcoming sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, and addictions located in Indianapolis, Indiana. It seems as if every day brings us a story to share of how the Holy Spirit is working in the lives of the residents, staff, volunteers, and guests that visit our campus. With so many stories and our great desire to Glorify His Kingdom, we decided to create a podcast to help share these stories. Thank you for joining us on this journey. For more information, please visit www.HopeCenterIndy.org

episode Pastor Hubert Nolen: Co-Founding Executive Director Shares The Vision cover

Pastor Hubert Nolen: Co-Founding Executive Director Shares The Vision

Pastor Hubert Nolen: Co-Founding Executive Director How does a pastor leave 33 years of ministry to launch an anti-trafficking mission with no building and no funding? One step of faith at a time. In 2015, Pastor Hubert Nolen saw a video from the Dream Center in Los Angeles and felt God's call to create a place where trafficking survivors could find hope. By October 2016, he and his son David moved into a 25-acre campus that needed everything. The saying became: "Let's wait till Monday and see what God does." In this season finale, Pastor Hubert reflects on Hope Center's transformation and shares what inspires him most—hearing residents pray with deep faith. He talks about the newest giving engine assembling life-saving medical devices that will create career opportunities for residents. And he opens up about losing David while watching God continue to provide. This is about faith, perseverance, and hope. If you've walked through this season, this episode ties it all together. episode Mary Faith: Finding A Voice Through Art Therapy cover

Mary Faith: Finding A Voice Through Art Therapy

What happens when words aren’t enough to express trauma? For survivors at Hope Center Indy, art becomes the language of healing. Mary Faith, Hope Center’s Art Therapist since 2019, works individually with residents, helping them process pain through creative expression long before words can be found. Mary shares one of her most powerful projects: residents draw a silhouette of themselves, then separate the negative words spoken over them from the loving words God speaks over their identity. It’s a visual, tangible moment of reclaiming truth. In this conversation, Mary opens up about her journey to Hope Center and why art therapy is essential for trauma recovery. It’s about helping survivors find their voice when it may be hard to find, and watching beauty emerge from brokenness. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
